Ferry Building Farmer's Market a great tourist destination.
Mar 2020
Wonderful place to visit even if you're on vacation and aren't buying fresh produce. If you are in San Francisco on a Saturday, consider a visit to the Ferry Building. As you approach from Market Street you will find artisans selling their handicrafts, a great place to buy a souvenir. The Farmer's Market itself has all kind of food vendors. All of them serve fantastic food. I particularly like the raw oysters. Find a place to sit and enjoy the view of the bay under the Bay Bridge. Afterward consider a ferry ride to Sausalito or a walk down the embarcadero to Fisherman's Wharf. If you are feeling energetic you can walk all the way to the Civil War Fort under the Golden Gate Bridge.

A must visit

Vast variety in a large farmer's market. Great lunch options at food stands within the farmer's market on the side of the Ferry Building.

The real food is all inside
Jan 2020 • Friends
Outdoor market. We didn’t see light outside that we really want to buy. We did up going inside to find more to eat.

It was still A bustling spot on a Saturday, but then that would be expected.

Lots of places to pick from inside to eat until your hearts content.

A Treat of the City!
Jan 2020
The Ferry Building is an occasional Saturday morning hangout for us and it is always a fun social experience. An incredibily diverse collection of locals and visitors enjoying an eclectic array of vendors; from the restaurants and shops inside to the dozens of booths outside offering incredible and often hard-to-find produce as well as local bakeries and meat/fish and dairies. You can park nearby or arrive from Vallejo or Oakland via ferry. Visiting the marketplace on a Saturday morning affords you a great sense of the early pulse of the city.

Cool local products
Sep 2019
Great place to visit. On the inside, there are some restaurants and more high end stores selling local goods. On the outside, a farmer's market with all local products and good food as well. The building itself is quite interesting too. Definitely recommended.

A gem

If I lived anywhere in the bay area, I would do all of my grocery shopping at this farmer's market. The selection of produce was amazing, the vendors were so friendly and everything we purchased was top notch. I wish I lived closer!!!

What a splendid place
Nov 2019
We visited the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and spent all morning there; it is simply fabulous. We bought fantastic food and wine for a self catering night and had a lovely breakfast in a cafe with outside seating so we could sit outside in the Autumn sun, have a splendid breakfast and watch the buzz of people around the Farmers Market stalls. Mind you it is possible to have a very different breakfast by sampling the delicious produce at each stall! It was the most memorable visit during our 4 day stay in SF.

Combination of Farmers Market, Restaurants and Local Made Goods
Oct 2019
We dropped in here after completing a Princes Cruise disembarkation tour of San Francisco and Sausalito. This market/food mall can be very busy with locals and tourists, especially at lunch time. Our tour stopped here for lunch and a quick stroll though the Ferry Plaza.

BOTTOM LINE: The building has been nice restored and now features loads of Farmer Market fresh foods, wines, souvenir and restaurants including fresh fruits and vegetables, fish n' chips, fresh caught fish fillets, wines, coffee shops, cheesecake and much more. We ate at the San Francisco Fish Company some fish n' chips. Excellent. Overall we loved seeing the various shops here. The quality of items and foods seemed higher end along with their pricing. Check it out! MY RATING: 8/10.

Highly recommended by a native

We visited here on Saturday. The market is open from 8-2 and well-stocked with local, seasonal items. Part of the market is outdoors and part is in the Ferry Plaza. It was plenty busy but a reasonable amount of people for the large space. The only place there was an issue was in trying to access the bathrooms with the long lines, A number of booths offered samples. It was fun to see the local wares including oysters, mushrooms, and dumplings. Prices were not cheap but the quality was high.

This Farmer’s Market is located across the Ferry Building and had very interesting stalls which were selling varieties of produce. Certainly worth visiting.
