Entire area is great for vies of the Bridge, and the history is still there as a military helicopter and small surveilance field for the Army in the Presidio. Easy to walk to nearby attractions as well, and favorite area for cyclists. Parking nearby, but as with all tourist areas now in SF, leave NOTHING in your car, not even in the trunk.

A favorite site of mine in all of San Francisco. Sort of a walking gateway to the Golden Gate Bridge. Lots of beach to roam in this National Park Service managed ecosystem. Great area for birders as well as dog walkers. Typically I take a city bus to a nearby stop. Then I begin my stroll. But can be windy and foggy at times. Particularly summer mornings. Food, souvenirs, supplies available at the Warming Hut closer to Fort Point and the Bridge. On the way, you'll discover a marine information center neat the old pier. Walk uphill to the bridge landing by following the upslope trail just past the Warming Hut. Views of Alcatraz, the Bridge, and Sausalito.

Crissy Field is a wonderful location for family, couple, or portrait photos. it provides flexibility of having the Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz, and the city as a backdrop. Highly recommended if you're looking for memorable photos.

I didn't plan to visit, but hiking eastwards from the Golden Gate beach took me through the Crissy Field. My thoughts, appreciating the landscape were 2 sided. I would love to ride a bike here, and, it's so flat and large that it looked ideal for landing a small plane.

This is a great stop for a walk and great views of the Golden Gate bridge. There's plenty of metered parking across the street along the warehouses.

Many locals are out exercising and just enjoying the outdoors. This is a great area for cyclists.

This was our last stop on the way home from Sonoma on a lovely sunny day! Easy to get to and there is lots of free parking. Felt safe to leave the car to enjoy the beach. There were lots of kite surfers, and some brave swimmers. The beach welcomed every age group for sure. We really enjoyed chillin' after a long day.

These fields are really quite breaktaking and allow visitors and residents alike to enjoy the open spaces in an iconic setting. It's one of the things I love about San Fran - being able to picnic, chill and enjoy the surrounds. It's like a haven of peace in a city that buzzes.

We had friends visiting from CT and wanted to go here. We were lucky as we had a very nice sunny day. They loved it as they enjoyed very good views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Angel Island.

It may not always be the case depending on when people visit due to fog and now our Northern CA fires, so may not always be clear. It's still We all still had a great time on a blanket, picnic snacks and our puppy!

The Presidio area includes Chrissy Field where there are gorgeous views of the Golden Gate Bridge , the beach and surrounding trees and trails. I have been to this area twice in one trip. It’s really great.

This green space was included in a tour my husband and I took of S.F. The Presidio is a very beautiful place filled with the enticing scent of eucalyptus trees and possessing a large amount of Spanish influenced architecture. It's history is equally as fascinating as is it's scenic value. Crissy Field is a wonderfully repurposed green space with an interesting background. Worth the trip for the views alone.
