Talk a walk and take pictures!!! Nice, clean and friendly harbor with the most beautiful views! We walked the harbor and docks and “talked story” with everyone we saw. Would recommended going in the morning before the heat of the day (did not see any shaded areas).

The harbor of Molokai is not a large or busy port, but part of a small, quaint community with some of the most friendly and family orientated people around. The views from the harbor up towards the mountains and coast is simply amazing.

We went out there to have our picnic lunch- but at the end of the pier, its closed off to Wharf business- so basically we ate in the parking lot and looked back at the view. I think the little park we passed ( all strung with Xmas lights at the time) might be more ambience but there is just parking on the side of the road.

Not sure why this is listed as an attraction, or why it has such high reviews. There's nothing wrong with it, but an attraction? Not really. It's a long wharf. Boats come, boats go.

We've been on Molokai for a month and had three trips with Captain Mike. He took us whale watching and snorkeling and each time we were impressed with his knowledge, his skills, and his aloha spirit. We saw whales galore and he helped us understand them and to appreciate their magnificence. He doesn't cram the boat full of people, so there is a lot of time for personal interaction and Q&A. Captain Mike is genuinely enthusiastic and happy to share his love and passion for the waters in the area with you. We called him at phone # 808-336-0047

I spent 3/4 day with Captain Joe Reich on his Alyce boat fishing for Mahi Mahi. I was told by other captains that Joe didn't talk much but knew where to find the fish. Turns out he is a very friendly and hard working captain who knows fish and knows how to please his customers. We found fish, we saw whales and had a fine time. His boat ain't fancy, but it gets the job done. Joe serves as captain, deck hand and fillet artist when you get back to shore.
I checked prices on the island and found that Joe's charges are the most reasonable around.

We drove down to the Harbor to check it out. There were a few fishing boats moored there and a few people fishing. It was very nice to watch the ocean from the harbor and see some whales.

Booked two 4 hour fishing charters with Captain Mike and boy was it AMAZING! Not only did he put us on some fish but he also took us snorkeling and whale watching. An extra bonus was the dolphins that were basically at my feet!!!! We cannot say enough about Captain Mike. He is so friendly and down to earth. We loved spending time with him and his Aloha spirit! If you are lucky enough to visit Molokai be sure to book a tour with him, you won't regret it!

We were here in the spring and the sunset was beautiful. The sky changed colors beautifully. Locals told us that you have to be here in the summer to enjoy the "green flash". When the sun's location is out away from the mountain and directly over the sea is the perfect combination for the event. We still felt it was worth the visit!

Ditto to what Debra said. There is an activities desk at the entry of Hotel Molekai. The lady there can set you up, regardless if you are staying at Hotel Molekai or not. Phone or email them to get more info.
