Nice experience but a little on the costly side in my frame but they were great hosts. The professional were exactly that Professional but again a lidttle pricy for what you got.

I can’t recommend 5 Star Scuba enough! The staff was so helpful, friendly, professional and, more importantly, concerned for your safety. My family, including my pre-teen daughter, had an absolute blast and can’t wait to come back to Maui to scuba with the 5 Star team again!

We did the introductory dive and the turtle town dive with Five Start Scuba Wailea and it was absolutely fantastic! Our guide was amazing and all of the staff was very helpful. I have scubaed one other time so I knew what to expect but my husband had not and he was definitely nervous. Our guide helped keep him relaxed and he really enjoyed the experience also. I would definitely recommend going out for a dive while you are in town!

Luke and Marc were great! Luke was our main instructor. We can’t wait to get certified and scuba dive again.

This was the coolest experience EVER! After doing their complimentary intro to scuba diving session at the Grand Wailea, I just knew that I had to do it for real out in the ocean. I did the $149 package and it was worth every single penny. Spent some time learning more about safety and how the gear all worked, then I got to go out in the ocean with the instructor (Drew, who was awesome) and the other guests who signed up. We saw so much sea life out on the reef, as we were underwater for about 40 minutes. This was the best experience ever and even though it cost money, it turned out to be a priceless experience. If you are an adventure seeker and are planning a trip to Maui, you NEED to do this! Next time, I want to go on at least two more trips with them. Thanks for the great experience, Drew!

I was fortunate to be the only one in the small group class introduction to SCUBA, therefore I had individualized attention. Can’t say what it would have been like with a gang. As a snorkeler, this will be a great introduction to trying SCUBA, a little reading, some pool practice, and off we go into the ocean. This is NOT a certification class. Also, bring your own prescription goggles if you need them.

Dive Master Michael was awesome! He was patient and thorough in the training. He impressed upon my boys the importance of following the rules, while keeping it fun. After the intro class in the pool, my boys were so eager to dive in the ocean we went out that same morning. Wailea is a beautiful and easy beach to enter/exit. Can't wait to dive again.

My husband and I took the adult class and it was so much fun. Instructor carried all the gear most of the way. Then my 8 yr old took the kid's lesson and he loved it. His teacher was hilarious and good with the kids.

The team at Padi 5 Star Grand Wailea were fantastic. I am a Padi Scuba Instructor, my wife is a Divemaster and my young children showed an interest in Scuba Diving, we were guests at the hotel so we handed over their first experience in the world of Scuba to the professional team at the Grand Wailea., Wanted our kids to experience scuba because they wanted to do it, not because my wife and I wanted them to do it. We were totally impressed by the way the team introduced the group of new explorers to the world of Scuba. We started off with a snorkel trip which resulted in us getting up close and personal with Turtles, 7/11 crabs, Moray eels and multiple fish friends. The kids loved it so we let them progress to a Scuba bubbles experience followed by an extended experience in the pool. The team at Grand Wailea were fantastic, we still talk about the snorkel and Scuba experiences weeks later and I am busy buying scuba gear in preparation for their open water course. Thank you to the team at Padi 5 Star Grand Wailea, I recommend this outfit 100% and we will be diving with them when we come back!

Hi! I am visiting Maui in a couple of weeks and have never dived before, but have always wanted to. I have open water snorkeled before and can hold my breath a pretty decent amount of time as well as being a strong swimmer (I am on my swim team and one of the top if I do say so myself :-) ). I have looked at your website and like what I see, so would the Regular or Advanced option be best for a vacation of 6 days? I got my info from your 5-Star Scuba website under the E-Learning page.
Mahalo for your time! I appreciate it.

What are the age, weight/height requirements for diving? Also, if I am staying at the resort, is there a complimentary introductory dive class? Thank you!
