Just south of Lahaina is the oldest dive bar on the island, with live bands, they also boast the longest Happy Hour on the island. This is a real bar with great service, reasonably priced drinks, and friendly locals. The bands play seventies rock and roll music, there is a dance floor but very small.
For those of you who rented a car and have a DD (Dedicated Driver) continue south to the rustic paradise of Kihei village, where you will find Kahale's Bar.
When we were there, we had quite a few ice-cold adult beverages, while surrounded by some heavily tattooed young and not-so-young ladies, and their motorcycle-riding escorts.
TIP: Don’t drive and drink, take an Uber, it’s $40:00 from Lahaina each way.
Please would you give a thumbs up below if you found this review informative? Thank you.

The live music was fabulous! The band played real rock and roll, mostly from the seventies. The dance floor is small, but that kinda made it more fun. The place was packed and the crowd was varied. I had a blast!

Located in the triangle which is good to bar hop, Kahale’s is a pretty cool dive bar. Service was excellent. From 8-11p they have live music.

This place is a must. Cheap drinks and live music. Friday nights it's packed. Dancing is encouraged. I've been coming here for years. They don't serve much food, but there are a number of restaurants in the same complex.

We have been to the Kihei village on several occasions over the past few years but never went in to Kahale’s as it was not inviting from the outside and usually had bikers hanging outside (not that this is a problem)
This time we went in and were fortunate enough to strike up a conversation with a few of the regulars. By the end of the night, we were all friends, even some of the members of the local bike club.
Later on in the night, there was live music with different bands and performers. I think it was closing time when we left with some the locals from the bar and we went to another club that was open later.
Don’t be shy, go in and if you have a good attitude, the people will be friendly. Don’t expect fancy drink either, beer, shots and well drinks.

Stopped in this locals bar and quickly learned tourists were not really welcome. Got charged quite a bit for two beers while other local regulars got charged much less. If you are a tourist, give it a pass. There are half a dozen places within a couple hundred feet to get a drink where you are welcome and charged a fair price.

During happy hour which runs from 10 am to 5:30 pm our draft beer are 2.50 for domestic and 3.00 for imports. That price is the same for both residents and travelers. Any less and we wouldn’t stay in business, if your still around please feel free to stop by the bar and we can review your bill for accuracy. Aloha Sumner

We went here twice within a week. First time, had a BLT wrap with french fires - very good. My husband had a pepperoni pizza - it was tasty but quite greasy. Not sure how to make it less greasy. Yesterday, I shared a chicken tender caesar wrap with onion rings with a friend and my husband had chicken fingers and fries. The caesar wrap was very good but small and it fell apart. The onion rings were good but they provided only 4 of them to the order - seemed very chintzy for a $13+ wrap. I would go back but it was expensive.

Since you had Pizza I am assuming this review was for South Shore Tiki Lounge not Kahale's Maui's Local Dive Bar. We don't serve Pizza or BLT's. :-)

When we travel we like to find "Dive Bars". NO not rundown disgusting places, though some of those are fun as well, but places where the locals hangout. Kahale's was a great find. We went in and we were immediately greeted by the bartender Nancy. Good drinks and good conversation. We talked with some of the locals as well as Nancy. They have a small food menu but we did not eat there. Their slogan is "The only thing colder than the A/C is the Beer!" This is a really great dive bar with a lot of local flavor. We highly recommend it. OH...remember not to take your drinks into the bathroom, they have a bathroom bouncer.

We absolutely love this dive bar in Kihei!!! Live music every night and trust me, we went every night. The bar and wait staff was terrific. We got to know them well and the regulars throughout the week and we all ended up in a group hug on our final night there. A good mix of music throughout the week kept us coming back, too. Make this your go-to place after a day on the beach.
