Tried to get here in the morning to see the rainbows. 10am wasn’t early enough. Pretty falls. Neat story. Banyan tree walk and climb were the best parts. Lots of ginger around too.

Beautiful waterfall just a few minutes drive from the main part of town. Very easily accessible which meant there were a lot of tour groups and visitors. To get a break from the crowd we went up the stairs to the left of the falls...More

This was a quick side trip. No fee and easy access. You can take the path to the top of the falls but this isn’t necessary.

This waterfall is pretty amazing - we saw it as part of a tour. The water quality varies very widely. Apparently it is often gentle and clean enough to swim in, but when we visited the water was dark brown from recent rainfall and fairly...More

Nice looking falls but they're almost too easy to see. Drive up, park, see the falls. If you do make the stop, do yourself a favor and take the walk around the left to see the tree/trees (i'm not really sure if it's one or...More

Overall the fall is beautiful and you can view the fall from where it starts (from top) by climbing the easy natural rocky stairs supported by a railing for support. The only thing I can say is don’t make a special trip to this place,...More

Well worth the drive from KONA, Beautiful waterfall and a monster of a tree at the top overlook. No matter how often you go back there is always something new to see. Take the North rout back to Kona, beautiful drive.

This was absolutely breathtaking. The falls were gorgeous and you could spend hours just watching. Beautiful and picturesque scenery. If you are in Hilo you do not want to miss this.

Hi, no, you cannot get into the waterfall, close but that's it. Lots of spots to take picture though.

We were there about 3:00pm in the afternoon and it was very good. The parking lot is small and can be a challenge. We waited for someone else to leave before we could park but it was not too long. Plan on spending about... More
