Your journey begins at Wappocomo Station, situated next to a charming homestead and a sprawling view of the mountains. Enjoy the sounds of vintage diesels as they lead you through beautiful pastures and farms dating back to the 1700s. As you wind...more

We saw 13 eagles: Tip: Sit on the port side of the train because the river is on that side. The viewing is far above average compared to many other West Virginia excursion trains because trees seldom block the view. Our car had large windows....More
Luckily we had beautiful weather for this train ride. We got a good deal on Groupon for $55.00 for two people in coach (reg price would have been $110.)
When you board the train for coach, there are no reserved seats so it's first come,...More
The advertising blurb on the internet promised more than we felt we got. Wild eagles cannot be accurately predicted to be there and we felt the commentary left us somewhat confused. The river scenery was very nice though.
We took the 3 hour, 1pm ride on September 30, 2018. I gave the lower rating of average (3 stars) due to the poor experience of Club Car. Scenery and wildlife throughout the trough is exceptional! The train’s narrator lacks ability to utilize landmarks when...More
We made reservations in advance on Groupon at half price rates. both for $55 The surroundings of the Woppocomo station on the Potomac were very rural & scenic. The trip on the train took 3 hours down the Potomac River through an area called the...More
This three hour tour (called a "Through Trip") was very informative. We learned a lot of history, particularly about young George Washington. We did managed to see several Eagles during the trip. The seats are reasonably comfortable and can be reversed when the train starts...More
This train trip was so much fun. The scenery was spectacular. Lots of historical info given about the area. We saw4 adult eagles, two juvenile eagles and 2 huge eagle nests. The staff who run this attraction are top notch and so friendly. Absolutely loved...More
My husband loves trains. We took our teens to see eagles and experience the ride of a train. One word...awesome!!!!! The people are friendly and knowledgeable about the railroad. Helpful and informative of area and events. This should be on anyone’s to do list
We went with a travelzoo offer, which cut off trips before the leaves will change. I'm sure this trip would be beautiful during a West Virginia autumn but just riding the train for the sake of riding the train is pretty boring. The cars could...More
We took the train in coach and loved the oldie 1920's seats. The staff is darling, especially Richard. We brought our own picnic but there is a service car. The views were lovely. The narration was good. For train bluffs this is great. We saw...More

Our platform has a few steps but also has ramps. Boarding from the platform onto the train is fairly level. Walkers are usually not a problem, although they can be hard to get through our doorways sometimes. Some of the interior doorways and aisles are narrow. Overall, we've had many guests bring/use walkers on the train and have had an enjoyable time.
