Why not absorb and enjoy the Bavarian culture while in Levenworth....and the nutcracker museum seemed like a natural way to do it while walking the streets. BUT... I wasn't willing to pay an admission to walk through a "museum" that would take only minutes. We...More

My first issue - less a concern - is that this is not a museum. A museum is place that curates its materials and provides interpretation. Museums, in other words, teach us something new or re-frame our understanding of art, history, or the topic it...More

For the enjoyment of our visitors, most of the wooden toy soldiers displayed in the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum are grouped by special events, holidays, sports, or various festivals. Most of the antiques are labeled by origin and date. Two books published by the museum are...More

We went to the nutcracker museum because I have always liked nutcrackers and saw so many beautiful and amazing ones. I think this is great for young and old alike.

If you love nutcrackers, you will love this museum. If you're like me and find them somewhat interesting, you will enjoy a walk through the museum. We spend about 30 minutes and were glad we stopped in. I wouldn't say it was a "must see".

If you're looking to have your mental circuits crash at the sheer overwhelming amount of different nutcrackers in one location, this is it. There's a LEGO nutcracker; one carved on a single toothpick, one so small you need a magnifying glass to see it....and those...More
