We aren't "wine snobs", but we do enjoy getting out and visiting wineries in areas that we visit. This has to be the worst place I've ever been to...by far. It's so sad, because the area is very beautiful and this place has so much promise! The wine is awful...including the Sangria that is made with "7-Up". We bought a bottle of the white, just because we were thirsty. It looks like dirty water and taste even worse! They were out of most of the wines they carry. We were there for the "Fall Oyster Crawl" and we ordered fried oysters............they over cooked them and the crust was DARK brown. The flavor was ok, although a little salty. But the worst thing about this place is that there is junk everywhere!!!! Old furniture, games and just junk on the porch...off to the side....all on the grounds. It gave me the creeps to even eat there!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE....unless you feel like you just have to see if for yourself. But don't EAT there and don't DRINK the juice...can't call it wine.

We were on a group tour and this was one of our stops. We had been here several years ago and enjoyed the area. However, this vineyard has seen better days. And while the tasting room was attractive, the grounds and the upkeep were less than satisfactory. We tasted five wines and, whether they were white or red, the wines seemed to carry the same taste. Let's hope that better days will be coming.

My wife and I stopped by after seeing the signs on the road. Directions lead you up a winding road to building in an old camp ground. The tasting room was nice enough but the building and grounds could use a lot of TLC. They need to clear away the junk and clean up the grounds. We pulled up well within their posted hours to find the place closed. As we were about to pull away, a woman came bustling up from a cabin and opened up. Apparently she saw us drive up. She was friendly enough and gave us good samples at a reasonable $3 fee. The wines were fairly priced and we bought several reds and a white. She even threw in a nice waiters-style corkscrew. I giving the place 3 stars only because of the price and quality alone wine.

Had reservations at a "Cabin" there and when arrived the tasting room had Balls of fruit flies! Awful cannot even call it wine....Went to our "Cabin" and the grass was 4 ft. high and inside the cabin was mold on walls and ceiling...But the worst was the Spiders...You could put a saddle on them! We left fast and they would not give us our money back....Had to stay at holiday inn that night...Do your self a favor and SKIP this hole!

Come to Belle Mount and try the tasting. Wonderful people and good wines. Tasting is one of the least expensive that we have been to ($3). Covered deck out back allows outside sitting in any weather.

We spent a full week-end touring 7 wineries in Virginia's Northern Neck with another couple. Granted, Virginia is not France, California or Chile. While some of the wines were very good, none were spectacular. Nonetheless, all the wineries we visited had great tasting rooms, good munchies, and friendly and knowledgeable staff - with one notable exception - Belle Mount Vinyards. What a dump. Mediocre wine notwithstanding, we felt we were in a rundown 1950's home in the basement. What a disappointment after a weekend of good wineries. I would skip this one.

We drive some distance to get here. We arrived 1-1/2 hours before they were scheduled to close, but they were closed already. Disappointing. It is located next to, or as part of a campground. Not many vines, not much to look at. Don't know how good the wine is. Not what we are accustomed to as compared to wineries in the Charlottesville area.

Stopped by during a scenic drive, randomly following signs. Kept driving even though it looked abandoned. Open signs on the building and a phone number to call. Got a busy signal calling the number and the lights were out. We left without a taste or a bottle.

We visited the winery today and bought several bottles of wine. The wine is good and the tasting room is nice, but the location needs some TLC. We will visit again.
