We liked the mozaics. Very beautiful. But because of all the restauration work going on, you can’t really see the villa from the outside. And the cues... you have to be very patient w.r.t. this one. Groups will stop for an explanation at any time...More

Well worth a visit to see these amazing mosaics....very well preserved! It gives you a glimpse into how some people lived centuries ago. I would suggest going early as school groups and tour guides with their groups can clog up the catwalks making it difficult...More

The Villa Romana del Casale is amazing and has some of the best roman mosaics I have ever seen. It is a must visit in Sicily. Too bad that is not well organized and the many tours one over the other diminish the experience.

Worth a visit, but you MUST arrive at opening time in an attempt to avoid the tour groups. We didn't and what we could have covered in less that an hour took us two hours because the groups and their guides blocked our progress along...More

This out of the way site is easy to visit. Walk through and look at the mosaics there is nothing else to it. Poor amenities on site. You'll have to eat and drink in town.

Truly spectacular mosaics - the whole site is. Well worth driving (or riding) to the remote site - you won’t be disappointed.

The significant diversion from our journey along the south coast of Sicily was worth every mile. This is a very large site with remarkably preserved walls, courtyards and mosaics of a 4th century AD roman villa. Although the mosaics are a bit faded compared with...More

Plenty of parking, €1 an hour (€1.50 for motorhomes). Then it’s €10 per person entrance fee. Guides charge €50 for a tour of approx 75 minutes. In an effort to preserve these wonderful 3rd century BC mosaics, the powers that be have built a roof...More

I don't think there is a limit on numbers on the site. The cost is 10 euros per adult bought at the ticket office - no need to book ahead unless in peak season possibly
