My husband and I along with our 25 year old daughter had a wonderful time visiting the museum. A few floors were closed, but it was still full of alot of history and statues. Wonderful experience!

We attempted to visit yesterday - it’s closed! And we were told that it has been for about 4 years...except for special events(?) so unless you know an event is on, I wouldn’t bother 😕

In a splendid garden neat the sea , a little castle like a fairytale, called
"Villa La Colombaia,"
a little dream castle with terrace and stunning views to the sea from every where, merit a visit, not too much tourists find time to come here. Inside extravagant fournitures, many pictures and photos; also a litle bar; will be interesting for films; in the garden , a simple big stone with many moss, here, Visconti find his eternel peace.

Luchino Visconti's house in Ischia is one of the most magical places where I have never been. You can spend a full day in the house enjoying the view and the atmosphere. There is a little ''bar'' inside where you can get refreshments and have them on the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. The only thing that it did upset me was the lack of care from the Italian Government. A place so special should be cared for more and kept as Ischia's jewel in the crown. Not many tourists but it is really worth a visit

I love Visconti but not keen on this visit. The house was an empty shell without showing what his life had been like, it just displays hundreds of photos which I could just as easily have seen in a book. The video was in Italian only.

loved the setting of the villa and the incredible views from every window....however.........setup and entry are unorganized and items in the villa are poorly placed.......a bit confusing but the visit and phots of Luchino Visconti are interesting and worthwhile. Ticket is approximately 7 euros.

There are few, if any, signs to La Colombaia but it was well worth the effort albeit on foot in temperatures of 35C. The views along the lane are stunning and matched by the panorama from all sides of the villa.
The photo gallery of Visconti's life and work are fascinating and the house is beautiful as are the gardens which were prepared for a wedding later in the day.
The villa is relatively close to La Mortella and is well worth a visit.
