About 7 miles (out and back) of concrete trails along the river. Great place for a walk or even a bike ride without fighting traffic. They are adding to it now that I think will add another half mile (out and back) to the total...More

We walked most of the trail on a Saturday morning. By noon it had gotten a little warm, but early on it was very pleasant. We saw 10 deer along the way and got some good exercise

The Guadalupe is so beautiful, the Cypress trees are 100's of years old, and this park so clean, quiet and peaceful. Two playgrounds, and large bathrooms, all very clean. The park is very well maintained. Bring peanuts in the shells, or dried corn, to feed...More

I attended a running event and was highly impressed. Facilities for ALL activities you can imagine from run/walk to kite flying to people watching to kids play areas (water spouts for hot days and playgrounds) swimming, etc. Just a great place with generous but not...More

We walk this park several times a week and we love the cleanliness and the atmosphere. It also provides a lot of different areas to walk and sit.

The city deserves credit for making this an attractive, clean and safe (appearing) destination by the river. I got the impression you'd have to walk a fair bit once leaving the trail to get to any decent restaurants or other attractions. Nice job, Kerrville.

My wife and I spent several hours walking this trail on a beautiful, clear spring Thursday morning. The river was fantastic. We encountered several deer, and two of them were quite cooperative in posing for our cameras. This was our third trip to Kerrville in...More

Very nice concrete trail along the river. We camped at the city park and rode our bikes to the local restaurants and museums using the trail. Nice feature of Kerrville.

Kerrville closed down its Louise Hays park for a over a year while construction went on to beautify the park and construct the beautiful Trail along a quite section of the Guadalupe River. Casual walkers (most of the trail is fairly flat, cement surface), and...More

We walked from our campsite to downtown a couple of hours in daylight and we did not have any people say or see anything that made us think we were not safe. We saw bike riders and people with dogs mainly.
