This museum was very interesting, though a tad on the small side. The only downside was it was a bit expensive for what you got.

Always been interested in history so took the time to check out this museum. Like other reviews spent a couple hours exploring. Amazing exhibits and sad when you see the background since a lot comes from family loans so it’s actual history of a person,...More

So glad you were able to visit. Everything you said is so true and every day I am both saddened for these men, but encouraged that our county could withstand such a horrific event, come out stronger and become the leader of the free world....More

A friend told me about this place and I had to go. Very nice place and well done. There are items. guns, you can actually touch. Very well laid out design and floor plans. Lots of artifacts. Informative, but not mind blogging. Truly enjoyed my...More

We appreciate your taking the time to visit and a review and your friend for suggesting you visit. We believe a museum should just present the evidence and as you mentioned--"to inform," but not tell one how they must feel about it. The latter would...More

The museum only charges $6 for adult admissions. It is a very complete collection of guns, knives, artillery, uniforms, etc.... best I have seen. They also have a separate collection of 19th century women's dresses, which my wife enjoyed. The staff and docents are very...More

You mentioned you were from the east, of course the bulk of the war occurred there, but I am glad you mentioned you experienced an insight into the West. This war touched every American home. Based on % if fought today 7.5 million of our...More

I visited the museum with my parents and my daughter. This was the first time to visit the museum. The museum is set up in a way that makes sense. The collection is wonderful. There is a place at the museum that allows you to...More

Bill is a dedicated volunteer and just an incredibly nice person. We are always delighted to hear feedback from our visitors—but especially so when it is a multi-generational family enjoying time together, creating previous memories. Thank you for coming.

Love it when families can share time by touring and learning together as those moments are the most precious. Thank you for coming.

I took my Granddaughter here and she LOVED it. The best thing to me personally, was the Scarlett O'Hara hat on display. Yes, the infamous Green Velvet Hat. Take the time and enjoy

The original dresses on display can provide almost fairy-tale like discussions with little girls are such fun to share with a special grandmother. Anytime, families can interact in such a way as you, makes for wonderful memories and strong family bonds. Thank you for coming.

Incredible collection of artifacts from both sides of the war. Most of the items on display come from intimate collections identified by their original owners. Absolutely Stunning!More

Our museum is a bit different than the current trend in that we do not tell people what to think. We try to put a personal face to each artifact. It blurs the line with who is a good guy and who is a bad...More

I am so sorry as I did not see the question until now. Allow 2 hours if you have a general interest in the war. If you are really interested in the period allow 4.
