We had a fun quick visit saw the 11 am herd of bulls walk through town. It’s got a real old wear feel even though it’s obviously a tourist trap. We had lunch at the BBQ place, which was pretty good. If you’re near Ft...More

There's a hidden little museum in the Cowtown Coliseum. If you enjoy history, check it out. The Stockyards is a comprehensive, fun and educational experience. Its weak link is that there is not historic explanation as you walk around. So you may miss, for example,...More

Stockyards are worth a visit. Museum is well worth time to browse through. Make sure to see the longhorns travel down the street. Very large animals & horns. Cowboys herding them make for great pictures. Many buildings, signs to see along the main streets. Be...More

The Stockyards takes you back to the wild west Where cowboys drive their Longhorns to the stables, and then relax with a beer. We had a great time over here. Sat down at Risky’s and ate the best burger, and watched the Longhorns pass by....More

Who doesn't want to see a cattle drive while in Texas? Tip, get there early it gets crowded and parking is limited. Everyone was friendly and very willing to talk about the history. The drive itself was only about 15 minutes but it was so...More

Super educational and very fun to watch! The kids and I loved it and enjoyed it, the pony rides and the museum inside the stockyards. A must do if visiting!

Hard to believe this is located in the shadows of downtown Fort Worth. It was hot, Texas Heatwave Hot, but we still managed to get in some great outdoor activities. Glad we went to the morning cattle drive and shootuout. We would have wilted in...More

What a great place to see the way thing used to be. The entire place was a blast from the past and was very enjoyable. Love the rodeo, it was the best!

There is free public parking by the Stockyards Station. There are also several paid parking lots mixed thru out the Stockyards and then of course, if you get there early enough, there's free parking on the street.

The cattle drives are every day at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting. The best place to watch is in front of the Visitor's Center at 130 E. Exchange Ave.
