Renovation and renewal have come to this historic street known as the "Home of the Blues." Flashy music clubs and restaurants abound.

Me and my husband enjoyed 2 nights on beale street. Have to say the music and food was amazing!! Rum boogie was great and served some of the best pulled pork I've ate.

Walking on Beale Street gives you a true "feeling" about the music and sounds that were born in Memphis. Great people watching! Very eclectic and interesting.

We happen to visit bealle street on bike night and oh what a show. Custom bikes for as far as you could see. Live music coming from every club on the street, street entertainers, just a great atmosphere. Bealle street is a must visit.

We were very surprised about the lack of good music. Having spent time in Nashville, there is no comparison.

Such a treat, the music, the dancing the neons, Such a great time. Reminded me of Bourbon Street in NOLA.

Truly one of the best experiences I've ever had! You simply cannot love blues and not love Beale Street! It was awesome how all those bands in all those places up and down the street; and yet they never "overlapped" one another! Fantastic!

Lots of bars with life music. We visited New Orleans first and it struck us that there was more life music in the evening in Beale Street than in Bourbon Street. Also quite some variety and a raally pleasant atmosphere. Good place to go.

Such a dirty street! Homeless hunting through bins more than I can count on my hand and cockroaches galore yet nothing seemed to be getting done about it felt very unsafe.

Lots of great music and the street is closed off for several blocks for walking only. It's very touristy, but lots of old buildings and signs...and fun.
