During our recent annual championship tour we had the privilege of playing Craigielaw golf course and were not disappointed. The course has many interesting holes and very enjoyable.
The staff in the pro shop and lounge were very welcoming and friendly.
All things considered we had a great day and will definitely include Craigielaw in our scheduled tour of Scotland. Highly recommended.

It us a lovely links course that will test you game.
Playing mostly with wind it is sure going to test your skills.
We had a late arrival and managed to play the front nine holes the first day and it was really nice to get back on a links course.
The PRO shop was friendly and helpful and all facilities easy to get to.
We had a good round on our second day here and we will be back any day.

Terrible. Went for morning coffee today after hearing the reviews were really good. Waited to be acknowledged for 10 minutes before we were taken to a sofa that had seen better days. We haven't even sat down and the waitress asked us what we wanted. I asked could we have a menu and she said no, we don’t have menus and then reeled off what they had… how odd. She said she would come back as we hadn't even taken our coats off. We sat down and I looked to my left and there were at least 4 dead flies and daddy long legs on the bench next to me and a lot of dust, yum. Waited 15 mins and a member of my party decided to go to the bar to order as no one was giving us the time of day. We received our coffees, mine was basically a hot milk, not the flat white I asked for. We ordered 2 bacon rolls and a scone. The bacon rolls were ok as bacon rolls go but the scone…. The scone was clearly heated in the microwave and it was served on a plate with no knife or butter/jam! I was laughing by his point. We were about to leave and this other couple came in and the waitress showed them to a table that was dirty (the previous couple had just left). The coffee cups and water glasses were still on the table when they were seated and one of the water glasses wasn’t moved at all! More to the point, the table was not sanitised, not even wiped down at all… at this point we were pretty gob smacked and just left. There wears also a lot of Georgie golfers walking about with no masks on but none of the staff seemed to care.
I’m not sure what the issue was today, all the reviews are really good and I’ve heard first hand that the venue is great but today I felt like the staff lacked basic training as they really didn’t have a clue what good customer service was and didn’t even care. Really poor show Cragielaw.

We golfed this week at Craigielaw and Kilspindie staying overnight at the excellent accommodation at Graigielaw Golf Club. The food, service, and staff couldn't be faulted and would recommend a visit here if in the East Lothian area. We will return for another stay.

Booked into Lodge for a week’s golf break. 2 courses, Craigielaw and Kilspindie on doorstep. Very warm professional and friendly welcome from all staff. Paid little bit extra to have room with a view over course and out to sea. ........worth it. Bedroom most comfortable and spacious and great big walk in shower! One minor thing.....weather has been atrocious and an easy chair to sit by the window ....it’s winter would be a plus point. Food excellent and staff very accommodating Very little golf as worst weather week of year with Storms Ciara and Dennis ........happening!!! Have only managed 2 rounds in 6 days but thoroughly enjoyed the challenges in Gale force winds and company of friendly club members. Would have been 5 stars if weather had not been so extreme. Lots of great courses to play in this part of the world....this is Scotland in winter!!! Highly recommend Craigielaw Lodge as a place to stay and explore the area....golfer or not!!!! Great beaches along the coast here.....

Got a cold welcome from the receptionist but directed to the restaurant. Staff in restaurant attended to us quickly and with a smile. There is scaffolding in the front of the restaurant at the moment but it dint stopped us from having a nice view out to the coast and the golf course. Food was very good and served quickly. Restaurant was busy. Mother Inlaw enjoyed the macaroni cheese wile I enjoyed the club sandwich.

We had a very good stay here. Ideal for us as we were close to our friends and it was ideal to get to Murrayfield for the Scotland v England game. Food in the bar/ restaurant was good and it was no trouble to get boiled or poached eggs at breakfast. Plenty of choice also at breakfast. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Only one small hiccup was the extractor fan was out of action to mirrors steamed up.
Also tv signal was a bit erratic but this was probably due to the windy conditions at the time.
Staff are all very friendly, and even though we do not play golf, l would recommend this lodge wether you play golf or not.

What a wonderful setting with views over the Firth of Forth towards Fife. The food was very good with a choice to suit everyone & the service was quick & efficiently done by friendly staff. Prices were very reasonable, all in all a very pleasant night which we intend to repeat in the very near future.

We went as a golf society, staying at the golf hotel. The staff plentiful.were helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious and more than enough. The golf was good.but having just played dunbar came up short. However, being 100 year between them I am sure that craigielaw and its staff are well on the way to a very successful future...loved every minute and Scotland should be proud to have a new emerging star

I have played Craigielaw many times and it is a great test. East Lothian has the uncanny ability to have great weather when all around is bad! The club has everything a visitor could want; great practice facilities, a challenging course but no real blind shots, an excellent clubhouse with great food, a very friendly atmosphere and wonderful staff plus there is a par 3 course AND now there is super accommodation in The Lodge. I have played there with friends from overseas too and they all remark on how good the whole Craigielaw experience is. Top marks.
