Bike Path
Mar 2021 • Couples
We rode out of Huntington Beach State Park and went south. The trail is separated from the busy highway by trees most of the way. It is very twisty and has many raised areas caused by tree routes. Be very careful on all the curves watching for oncoming bikes! It seemed to end as it went left into a neighborhood. We later found that it did continue for a ways south along the highway. We turned and went north into Murrells Inlet. This portion becomes a lane adjacent to the road. While not too bad, it did have areas of loose gravel and further north to the restaurant areas, it became pretty busy.

Great Outdoor Fun
Jan 2021
This bike/ walking path goes for miles and miles beside the marsh, into the wooded areas, and beside Highway 17. It is very safe and a great way to bike from Murrells Inlet to Huntington Beach State Park.

Easy ride thru beautiful scenery. Rented one speed bikes from Cyclopedia on Pawleys Island. They gave us instructions on where to go.

Well Maintained

A very good recreational path for walking, jogging or biking. No motorized vehicles allowed. It is generally well maintained and gets a nice amount of use by the public.

Bike path out of traffic
Apr 2019 • Friends
I wanted to ride somewhere that I didn't have to deal with traffic. This was just right. The path meanders through the trees alongside Hwy 17. Its paved and fairly well maintained although some of the asphalt was broken up. It takes a couple of detours through neighborhoods and the signage could be better, but all in all, very enjoyable.

This is a bike lane dedicated to the riders with a great view

Surfside and Myrtle Beach should get completely onboard. It provides a safe path for bicyclists. You can head south from the inlet all the way to Huntington Beach State Park.
