- Phil DChicago, Illinois390 contributionsNice, small zooNice little zoo. Can do the whole thing in a couple hours (or less). The facilities were very nice. It’s not big at all. It was hit when we went and they had misting stations set up throughout the zoo which was nice. It wasn’t very crowded so we got through it pretty quick. Nice place to stop in Greenville with young kids. If you’re a member at another zoo (that is part of AZA), you can get 50% off admission, just show your pass at the ticket booth.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 13 July 2023
- jstephens8Summerville, South Carolina13 contributionsThin on EducationThis zoo is really small and was severely lacking in information about each animal. Most of the animals had a small plaque with a tiny bit of information. Only a few animals had a good amount of information. We read all the info and saw all the animals and made it through in an hour. Seems low on the education/entertainment for the money spent. I probably would have put it lower than a 3, but there were a lot of baby animals that were very active and fun to watch. That was the best part of the whole zoo.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 28 July 2023
- jimMount Dora, Florida4 contributionsLove the Red PandasMy primary reason to visit was to see the Red Panda which are my favorite animal. It was a Red Panda overload in a good way with 4 red pandas on display and out eating their morning meal. Looks like 2 of them are recent babies and were so adorable. They all stayed out active for quite a while. They have quite a few animals that have babies on display which says a lot about their animal program and the SSP- survival species program. You can feed a giraffe if you want. The lions were their usual lazy selves and sleeping. It is a nice little zoo that has good animals for the size of the zoo.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 23 October 2023

This place is great! Small but clean and organized- perfect for a quick trip with animals. Right in the middle of town close to Reedy Bridge

Smallish zoo, all animals appeared well cared for in their environments. There were water misting stations set up for visitors because it was super hot the day I was there. Easily see everything in two hours. Great for kids with shorter attention spans.

On our visit to Greenville, we decided to go to the zoo. The entry in was reasonable and the zoo though smallish, was nicely laid out, with plenty to see. I particularly enjoyed the baby orangutan who was entertaining himself with a bucket. The families watching were also enjoying him too! At one point he walked around with the bucket over his head, and fell over. The baby orangutan then ran over to his mom and hugged her. We all went "awww". So cute! the zoo also has red pandas, lions, snakes, giraffes, etc. A great place if you have kids and are visiting Greenville!

Enjoyed a morning at the zoo, great facility, animals etc are well cared for, areas are kept clean and neat. Shop was well stocked, I had hoped to buy a squirrel/chipmunk or some animal typical to the region.

The Greenville zoo is in a pretty area of town and laid out very nicely. The number of animals is not large but the walkways and viewing areas were good. Our only complaint was the number of schools and children that were visiting. Due to the smaller size of the zoo, the presence of at least 60,000 kids under 10 made the visit a little difficult. Zoo management should limit them or limit everyone else.

I loved the Greenville Zoo. We went with small children and it is small enough to see it in a few hours. The zoo is clean, well kept and easy to navigate. The animals are in nice habitats.

This is a nice small zoo. It took us about two hours for our experience. Almost all of the exhibits were clean and well designed. The family of giraffes and the primates were highlights. We arrived at 10 when they first opened, which probably was not the best time since there were hordes of preschoolers arriving at the same time. We had the place almost to ourselves but the time we left around noon. We walked there from downtown on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, which made for a lovely walk. it's around 2 miles each way (plus or minus depending on your starting point). There was ample parking if you chose to drive.

Yes they do have places to sit throughout the zoo. They have Park benches and they have picnic tables at the little cafe area.
What all animals are at this zoo?

They have lions, giraffes, various monkeys, elephants, foxes (red), regular farm animals such as chickens, goats, etc. A few more, memory just fails me right now. Good zoo - small but good for the area.
How much is admission
