Wanted to try kayaking with the kids, seemed like a good place to start. Rented two kayaks and a stand up paddle board. Pretty straight forward operation (though finding it with the GPS was a little bit of a challenge) but once there, no issues. Rates were fair for the hourly rental.

I called them because I couldn’t find where they were located. The girl on the phone actually stayed with me on the call until I got there. The tour was amazing and informative. I would definitely go back there again.

The pontoon boat ride around Lake Harmony was a lot of fun. Capt Fabian knows all sorts of information about the different houses and the lake in general. He also has great recommendations for things to do in the area. He answered all our questions and has a great sense of humor, you can tell he loves his job (and really, what's not to love). He also took patiently took photos of our group and they turned out great. The boat accommodates 10 which is how many we had in our group which basically made it a private tour, that was an unexpected surprise. I recommend calling and making a reservation. We had planned on going one day and I called right as they opened and they were already booked for the day, we were able to go the next day which worked out great. Sometimes the phone is busy, just keep trying. They often have a long line of folks. Take sunscreen and hats - there's no shade to sit under and it's easy to get a bad sunburn in just 45 minutes. My niece and nephew took out a pedal boat but didn't enjoy it as much as they expected, they said the pedals were a bit rusty, hard to turn and noisy. YMMV.

Rented two canoes for fishing in the lake. Staff was helpful however called several times to reserve and no answer. Very reasonable and staff were friendly once they were actually open.

Riding the pontoon boat around beautiful Lake Harmony is at the top of my list of "must do" when I visit Split Rock Resort. I have been going there every year since 2006 and I never tire of being out on the lake. The ride is about 45 minutes long going twice around the lake. The first time around Captain Fabian goes slowly and gives an interesting history of the area. The second time around the lake he goes faster and we have the wind in our face. I love it. I usually stay for a week and take the boat ride several times. It is a must. Yeti Water sports is an easy walk from the resort or you can drive. No rough terrain, it's a flat walk along a paved road. The cost is $20 pp and worth it.
