I’ve wanted to go to this museum for a number of year but have never had a chance. This wonderful collection is housed in a beautiful old building and there is plenty of information and photos to get an idea big the history stored in this museum. Both pottery and history lovers will enjoy the visit.

We visited this Museum when we were driving through Holbrook. It is privately owned and is the result of an accidentally aquired individual obsession by the owner with antique pottery aquired at back yard sales and deceased estates. Recommended for anyone interested in colonial history and ceramics. Otherwise, worth a look for a glimpse into a life lived in a particular way.

Very unexpected to find this privately-owned museum in the tiny town of Holbrook. A small fee for entry, no photographs for some reason. Some amazing stuff there.

Visited this place again on our way to Gulgong NSW for a Ceramics conference. Obviously of interest to anyone curious about the history of Ceramics but also appealing from a historical point of view. Very well set out with information about each item and the pottery where the item was made. The owner/collector has an amazing knowledge about the works and is happy to talk about anything of particular interest. The building itself is quite beautiful and well set out to showcase the collection in a very easy to follow format. $5 per adult for entry. No photography. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

The over zealous owner needs to get a life. Wont allow any images which we found quite upsetting. He needs to move with the times and realise that he is only a custodian.
