Visited with elementary and high school kids. They both enjoyed it as the display was very interesting. It was very educational and with lot of facts that were unknown to us parents as well. Few hours well spent when passing though Harrisburg. The location and...More

Had a blast walking through the museum with my husband. It’s a take your walk through tour at your own pace which is really okay with me. I guess it depends on your preference. Still I enjoyed the experience. It was reasonably priced and something...More

This is a wonderful museum. It is top notch from top to bottom. You will need at least 2 hours to fully enjoy the entire museum. This is the best Civil War museum outside of Gettysburg. The collection on hand was fantastic.

We just visited the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg. I must say I was amazed just how much the place had to offer. Tons of war artifacts and stories also. Reasonably priced too. Located at a beautiful location

The museum is nicely laid out. You can easily flow from one section to the next without missing anything. I consider myself to have a pretty good knowledge of Civil War history, but I learned quite a bit from this place. They use several formats...More

The best place to start would be to contact the US Army Heritage & Education Center in Carlisle, PA and check one of their reference bibliographies on the 21st PA Calvary. I hope this helps!
