We were surprised to find that there was a fee to get into the park. The waterfalls were not that great.

A great place to unwind and enjoy nature
Apr 2021 • Couples
Was a treasure this multi-faceted location is! We stayed several hours and enjoyed walk through the forest, along the lake and around the historic buildings. There is just so much here, all of it wonderful, that I can’t do it justice. This is a must-see place. Visit it in chunks if you can’t spend much time. But, definitely go!

Busy park but plenty of outdoor space to enjoy
Sep 2020
Busy metro park on a weekday, late afternoon. We were in town from Michigan and enjoyed a couple of walks throughout the park as well as a nice drive from one entrance (Lebanon Rd.) to the exit near the golf course. Beautiful, large, and with the exception of the algae filled lake, very well maintained. The Heritage Village Museum was closed but you could see much of it from the trails. Area residents are blessed with this great park.

Great Park hidden in the middle of Hamilton County!
Mar 2020
With the COVID-19 virus raging, what's a family with rambunctious kids to do? Get thee to a park! We had lunch today at Sharon Woods, just to get outside and have some fresh air. I have been coming to this park for over 40 years and it always delivers. Whether it's "Holiday in Lights" displays at Christmas, to a quiet trail by the waterfall at lunchtime, to a fun corporate event at an outdoor pavilion, to a walk back in time in their Pioneer Villiage, to a day on the lake, or jogging around it, there's just so many things to do. Great visitors center with a children's play area, educational exhibits, and gift shop with Charley Harper items. If you live in the area and you haven't taken advantage of this small gem of a park, what are you waiting for?

Beautiful lake

This park is always busy no matter the weather. The lake is beautiful. The holiday in lights is outstanding as well. The park is well kept and you can fish as well. Lots of wildlife.

Beautiful park!
Aug 2019
Beautiful park, looked for lots of things to do on our weekend trip. Found this park and was very excited. The only downfall was when we planned this trip we looked for things to do that were low cost and almost every place we went charged a parking fee. It was only 8 dollars for out of towners but would have been nice to know to plan ahead for this, fees add up. Other than that it was a wonderful park!!

Great Place To Spend Free Time
Aug 2019
Beautiful park. Nice trails, small waterfalls, very scenic. There are rentals of all kinds: paddle boats, row boats, bikes, and much more. There is playground equipment and splash pads for children. Light refreshments are sold on the premises. Lots of picnic areas. I am very happy we spent time there!

Rowboat focus
May 2019 • Couples
Perfect for wandering days. I had a great time with one other person in a rowboat. Not only is it nostalgia romantic but has shaded spots upon the lake. Summers delight. There is a golf green too. Wooded areas pop up picnics spring outdoors. Great for exploring wildness without traveling far at all from the downtown area. Can accommodate groups. Possible on the cheap or luxurious riches. I enjoy Sharon woods.

Nice park, event
May 2019 • Friends
I have walked in this park with friends and it is very quiet and relaxing. This weekend, there was a Civil War re-enactment and my friend asked me to go. The civil war historical groups did a lot of work to prepare and honor the soldiers from both sides and display some of the weapons and uniforms, etc of the time period. They had a brass band playing old songs and several old homes had been moved to the park to show the homes and businesses from the past. They had a mock "battle" with marching soldiers and booming cannon fire. It is not for everyone, but I thought it was very well done and I admire the volunteers for their efforts.

Great park and activities
May 2019 • Couples
Very fine park in Hamilton County. Lots to do and see including hiking trails and exhibits. There is a daily or annual fee but well worth it. We came here to see a historic enactment of Red Stockings game held 150 years ago.
