We stopped here for an orientation to the park and area. Taking the time to watch the video upstairs will add to your appreciation of the park. We've visited about 50 national parks, so the constant hum of the traffic on the interstates overhead was...More

This is a tiny visitor's center. There is a small exhibit with information about life along the canal and a cross section of a canal boat. Similar information is available at locations all along the canal so don't feel like you are missing out if...More

Nice stop rather you are taking a hike or bike ride. If this is a planned part of your day make sure you check the hours. There is also a small convenience store across the street that is part of the National Park as well....More

It was a great place to eat our picnic lunches on the porch while watching the bikers on the towpath trail. There's interesting historical information inside of the visitors center and a small souvenir shop. It's also a great place to get on the towpath...More

This center is located neatly near the center of the park and likely you will pass by it around the middle of your tour. The most valuable thing for the center is the short, 10 minute (or so) video they play in the upstairs. It...More

You can collect 4 here. Average NPS Visitor Center. I'm eagerly awaiting the opening of the new and improved one down the street but it's good for stamps, info, and towpath trail access.

A beautiful and historic building With very good displays; But is just to small to be a Visitor Center. The Volunteer Staff is very dedicated and helpful but with the confined area for store sales and information they are overwhelmed.

Our family visited Boston Store twice during our ventures throughout the CVNP. Our first visit was to get information on the Bike and Ride program (which is awesome!) and then to find out what the "must sees" of the park are. The exhibit on the...More
