Worth the membership
Sep 2021
My husband and I have been yearly members for over 10 years. While COVID certainly put a damper on our visits, it didn't stop us from going and enjoying the variety of paths (differing in levels of difficulty) with our dogs.
Even though I don't come here very often, I appreciate the fact that it is available whenever I choose to come.

Lovely nature trails
Jul 2020
Friends recommended going here and the morning weather was clear but somewhat warm. There is a charge of $9 for adults but we paid $6 ahead of time because of a senior discount. They have many long trails which go up and down a lot which surprised us but very, very pleasant surroundings. The ups and downs bothered by friend who has knee problems who expected the trails to be more level. It was our first time here and not very crowded and the small signs were few. It seemed confusing and it seemed easy to get lost in the middle of the trails which form a circular route, but not well marked. We bumped into a few regular visitors who gave us directions and told us to keep going on the circular trail. If you love nature, you should go to this place to experience it.

One Of The Most Beautiful Areas Of Cincinnati
Oct 2019
I was honestly shocked by how beautiful the Cincinnati Nature Center is!

Great place for hiking and relaxing all year round.

Something I didn't realize is how large the grounds are.

Plenty of trails for both short and longer walks/ hikes.

Highly recommend!

Nice trails to walk year round

Always a wonderful visit to CNC, whether it's for a walk with our dog or to sit at the windows in the visitors center and watch the birds that come to feed. So many trails with different habitats, you are certain to experience something new.

Great trails and an extremely interesting nature store.

I often walk the various trails, from the relatively easy "upland" to the difficult "far ridge". All of them have their own merits with many things of interest. I take the dog with me on most days, but also take part in group events, Including the twice weekly " bird watch" during the winter months. A very enjoyable, healthy outdoor experience. Well worth the membership.

Natural get away - beaten an doff the beaten path

Easy and convenient access with personal car. Public transportation is not possible/convenient. USD 9.00 entry fee per person per day, above average with other parks.
There is a variety of trails with specific features and you can combine trail sections to a part to whole day experience. We looped and returned to the visitor center for refreshment and ate on the new mini outdoors patio.
The trails are well maintained and posted.

great place and well kept trails, pricey

Not a cheap place to visit. The trails are great but compared as there are a lot of free state parks to visit locally, I wouldn't go back

Went Back Twice In One Day!

If you are not a member the entry fee is $9.00 , kept your ticket with you as you can get in and out privileges with that. There are multiple trails here. The trail map which rates some trails from easy to difficult is misleading, at least in my opinion compared to the rating system of AllTrails dot com, or, just from my experiences, and I'm no expert hiker. The easy trails (Turtle Trail for example) is easy. Barley any inclines, flat, gravel, short, I believe 0.6 miles. The hawk/eagle trail I believe was rated moderate, but that too was mainly flat, some dirt/gravel trails, a bit longer, but wonderful.

One of the difficult rated trails, the red bird, was about 2.86 miles I believe and wasn't difficult, perhaps due to some of the steeper inclines and hills towards the end (if you're going clockwise) that's the reason for the difficult mark, but there were no boulder jumping, difficult obstacles or gaps to jump over as I avoid trails like this in most instances. Most of the land was flat, grass or gravel, some dirt, some sand. I started off here around 08:00, left, came back and finished the day around 17:30. Best hiking in the area in my opinion. You won't be let down. Depending on what type of hiking or how much you'd like to do you could spend five hours here if you wanted, or, one or two, just depends on your day.

On an ending note, when I asked at the visitor's center if any trails were closed, I was told no, but on the deer trail there is a bridge missing, gone, with signage, making it impassible at a point, but there's others connecting trails on the deer trail.
