Well worth a visit if you get a chance. The house is very interesting and full of history. We didn't get to fully view the gardens due to heavy rain. There is also a nice little cafe in the courtyard. As always the NT staff are all very helpful, friendly and full of knowledge.

We went to visit Santa at wallington Hall today with our 4 year old and it was lovely . We spent an hour in the hall with activities guided by the elves. Including meeting Santa. Everything flowed smoothly and was the right amount of time to keep a young child’s attention. Santa was lovely and our little one really enjoyed the experience. Thank you

Christmas experience… Having come the Wallington previously and loving the grounds we were let down by the Santa experience.

We paid £25 for this event even though we had a baby in arms, we were then told we couldn't have a cookie and juice (as adults) because they were for the children.

The santa part was chaotic, pulling items out of sack which were all tangled and the fact he had no trousers seemed very inappropriate, many people have commented on this being strange on social media.

Would definitely not book again, rip off!

We had an amazing Father Christmas experience at Wallington this weekend. I won't give away any spoilers but there were different activities which my kids loved and the atmosphere was lovely. All the staff were so nice and we left feeling really festive and ready for Christmas. It was well organised and flowed really well. We stayed after the experience and had a look around the house - the rooms are decorated in different historical eras and look brilliant. Had a winter walk and then warmed up with a hot drink in the cafe. A great day out!

Christmas experience…

Having come the wallington to see Santa for many years - we couldn’t believe the disaster that was this years. With no grotto, a large group of children all meet him in a open room . With family’s walking in and out, children running round it was chaos. The children had no opportunity to tell Santa what they’d like for Christmas and even when trying to take photos, other children were running round and in them. It also seems Santa couldn’t afford trousers this year. With a elf having to constantly cover his bare legs. The elf sang a song from some scrap paper and the Chris gals story was also read from scrap paper.

A disaster especially in comparison to previous lovely years. All three of my children knew this wasn’t the real Santa. Next year we will be back to fenwick. If you’ve booked this event please re consider.

The gardens here are really lovely and you can sit and enjoy them. We walked around the estate and the lake, we visited the house and had a lovely cream tea in the cafe.
Wallington is worth visiting and you could easily spend a few hours here enjoying the walks and the grounds.

I don’t think we have ever been to a National Trust site where the staff were so helpful, kind and efficient. People just couldn’t do enough for us in terms of explaining, sharing their knowledge and making us welcome. The cafe was hugely busy yet the staff were pleasant and kind. We were so impressed.
The site itself is impressive and beautiful. The river and woodland walks were amazing, as was the walled garden. We will definitely be back.

It was obvious when we walked from the parking lot that this place would not disappoint. The house stands magnificently overlooking a vast piece of property.
One is able to tour the house, of which the interior is simply remarkable.

There are many paths to walk on the property to take in the beauty of the surrounds.
We are Royal Oak members, so we only needed to show our paid membership cards to enter, so I am unaware of the entry cost. But, I'm certain that this National Trust Property would be worth whatever entrance fee is charged.

There is a lovely cafe that serves a variety of refreshment, so we were able to enjoy a cuppa with a fresh made scone served with clotted cream and jam.

Honestly, it doesn't get much better than this.

A real gem of a place. Well worth visiting. We spent about 2 hours wandering around the gardens and doing the riverside walk followed by a look around the Hall. Even the cafe was great. Already planning a return trip!
