Some lovely old buildings, and interesting shops. Worth making a bit of a detour to see the Tudor house also, even if it is closed as it was when I visited. But I did think the shops looked very overpriced and I kept my purse...More
I can go in and out if ever shop, vintage,artwork,antiques,clothes shops,great coffee shops and restaurants. You can spend hours looking around. There is an indoor market. Charity shops lots of good bargains. Bored no way you can’t get bored.
Buoyed no doubt by the Turner Contemporary and the up-market pubs, restaurants and cafes across the road around what can best be described as a plaza, I can see that in just a couple more years the 'Old Town' will be the place to visit....More
The old town was charming with lots of old buildings, cafes, restaurants, pubs and small shops. We couldn't have found a nicer day in september to stroll around among the buildings.

We didn't actually look for vegetarian eating places, however we did notice that inside the Old Kent Market they were serving veggie lunches, what they were I'm afraid I can't tell you, also the double decker... More
We didn't actually look for vegetarian eating places, however we did notice that inside the Old Kent Market they were serving veggie lunches, what they were I'm afraid I can't tell you, also the double decker bus opposite the train station on the front also offered a range of veggie items.
We never went In to Dreamland, but we were told it was fun when we asked.
