was in the area & parked in the car park next door, thought may as well take a walk to the end of the pier. managed to catch the sunset. £1 donation is requested for the upkeep of the pier, however appears this is optional? there is nothing at the end of the pier - looks like there might be an expedition at the end, however this was closed upon sunset. names of those association with the pier are located.

overall a lovely evening stroll, however would not drive out my way there visit.

It is the views that this pier is most noted for, out to sea and across to Lymington / the New Forest and Hurst Castle. Whilst turning back to the land side, its a nice view of Yarmouth Castle, the prestigious Yacht Club and the old town.
Up keep for this charming structure was by subscription, with the donors names shown on individual decking planks.
Interesting, rather than hugely entertaining.

Well worth a visit, just a simple pier out into the Solent but with good views over to the mainland, and of the ferries coming and going from Yarmouth. There is an honesty box for a 1 pound donation at the start as well as some well-maintained toilets. Nearby are pubs and cafes and some limited parking.

Not much to see. We were a large group. It was a bit drab for a pier but had some decent views. Not sure it was worth us travelling for 30mins to get to and pay parking (large car park near the boats). 50p toll charge? Not worth it. If you are staying local, well-worn a visit but otherwise just walk past the boats for free.

The pier was originally built as a terminal for paddle steamers and is the longest, completely wooden pier. It has undergone extensive renovation with every plank bearing the name of sponsors and is well maintained. The weather was pretty dreadful on our visit but still there were some great views to see. Clearly the end of the pier is a good spot for fishing. It was a shame that the hut at the end was closed.

As piers go,there is nothing when you get to the end,not even that long.Along the way,you walk over planks that families donated the money to get them laid, getting their names inscribed on them in return.
Seating is provided along its length if needed.
Donation of a pound, via honesty box is requested.

We took a walk down Yarmouth Pier when we were in the town in February 2022. Apparently this is one of the oldest piers in the country and affords great views of the Western Solent and the shipping passing by, as well as the regular Wightlink vessels.

Entry is by donation as you enter the structure. It’s good for a walk and to while away half an hour or so.

Lovely old seaside pier, with just a cafe (also locked loos) on the landward end. It is a brisk 150 yard walk to the end, and we were lucky enough to see the paddle steamer "Waverley".
The pier is an old wooden structure with 2 inch gaps between the planks, and views the Solent beneath. Great views, peaceful place

Small, short, wooden pier, with great views of the village, the Solent, and the mainland. No rides, no arcades, no tackiness, no food, just a pleasant and relaxing walk, a few signs explaining its history, and (regulated?) fishing.

Lovely location, beautiful. Absolutely lost my temper with terrible parking payment system. I would heartily advise avoiding anywhere that makes you download a futile app in an area without internet and waste 30 minutes of your life. One assumes a lot of money is made from parking fines. Come one people, this is appalling.
