Salford Quays used to be a place where ships docked to unload and load. Now it’s a bustling centre for the media, theatre, shopping, dining and much more. Very good

Salford Quays and media city are nice places to walk and enjoy the sunset. You can combine it with a visit to the lowry outlet then to have a dinner at one of the resturants on the waterfront.

Salford Quays is a great place to walk along on a sunny Sunday. The star attractions are the Lowry and the Imperial War Museum, the others are pretty average. The market offered nothing particularly special but was pleasant and the outlet centre was the usual...More

Media city area and lots of shops and things to do. Good transport system to downtown Manchester on tram. BBC / ITV studios . Restaurants and shops. Pleasant way to pass an afternoon.

Staying in the Salford Quays, it was interesting to see how the former quays of the Manchester shipping canal had been redeveloped since the quays closed in the early 1980's. Lots of apartments, shops, restaurants, hotels....... A little bit of a characterless mickymouse land, forgetting...More

The Quays outlet shopping is pretty average to be honest. Not really on a par with other outlet centres like Gun Warf Quays ( Portsmouth) or Clarke’s Village ( Somerset) . Only small range of shops and no designer ones really. The surrounding area though...More

It is really nice to walk around. Shopping, good pubs, foods, lake, pubs gardens etc. Best to go there in the summer or night time.

Poor selection of shops. If we hadn't been wanting to go to the Lowry gallery it would have been a wasted visit.

A great outlet with plenty of parking. M&S had some great offers with real discounts as a pose to other stores which didn't seem very discounted. Definitely worth a visit.

There is the metrolink tram you can get from Media City back to Manchester. I would recommend checking the tram times but usually trams run until midnight or thereabouts.
