Entered and it looked like a typical grocery store... thinking to myself What's the big deal. This is located in an old Trust Company Building... we went to the Food court and that is where it is Spectacular. Look up at the ceiling - just gorgeous - the 3 levels of this store have interesting architecture. 2nd Level has wine tasting dispensers where you can have a mere tasting, small portion or a regular glassful. Prices are according to the quality of the wine. The grocery store is organized very well

I this is another visual experience. The architecture is gorgeous. The building was the former Cleveland Trust Company. Upon entering I wasn’t impressed then ventured further to the center food court area …Look up & see the gorgeous Rotunda and 2nd & 3rd levels ! There are self-serve wine tasting dispensers to have a tasting or a 3oz or glass of wine. Must prepay for a tasting card then insert it & make your choice. A vast selection of wines along the 3rd level . 1st level Had the groceries and center court had I ice cream and other edible choices .

The store is nice but the architecture is the real reason to visit. Having the grocery store in an old bank is amazing! Take a seat and look up in there dinning area, the ceiling is gorgeous.

Wish we had known about this before we got into town… could have stocked our hotel room with healthy produce and foods from this spectacular old bank building!

The historic location of this Heinen's makes the mundane trip to a grocery store well worth it. The take out food is fabulous and we are hoping it is opened soon as we enjoyed eating in the rotunda! Wine bar upstairs is a PLUS!

They gloat over having a fresh bakery, fresh meat and seafood counter, prepared foods, delicatessen counter, but it’s all shut down since COVID 2 years ago and never reopened!! It is just a supper sized convenient store now.

Solid small grocery in the middle of downtown. If you are staying at one of the downtown hotels, it is very walkable and have enough small stapes for either a light meal or snacks if you don't want to pay bar prices. Very good wine and beer selection as well as some varied cheeses.

The nice thing is that they preserved the old architecture of the bank including the large stained glass that is the roof of the rotunda and the paintings along the walls. Even if you don't really buy anything, it is worth a visit to check out.

I'm writing this review and thinking it's a bit unfair. We went up to Heinen's for lunch, and their food court is still largely closed. None of the highly-regarded soups. No deli options. You get garb-and-go wrapsm prepackaged sushi, salad-in-plastic--tho' the salad bar is now open again, so that's a plus.

Their 2nd floor balcony wine and beer sdction offers wine by the glass, but getting some is daunting for the occasional visitor. You must buy a special wine card for $3 at the register, load cash onto it, and then operated the self-serve wine dispensers. As I browsed the wines, I found that at least one of them was mislabeled--the little digital screen said it was a 2015 vintage estate Pinot Noir for $15 a pour, while the bottle had a brand name label and a 2019 vintage. Meanwhile, one register was closed, and when I found the second it was unoccupied--the clerk was sistting at the customer counter on his smartphone--he seemed entirely unconcerned hat the wines were misrepresented and mispriced.

You should enjoy the architecture of this lovely domed building, but until downtown Cleveland bounces further back from Covid, don't count on their former high standarfds.

This downtown grocery has everything. It used to be a bank & once housed the vaults that contained a lot of the wealth of the Carnegies & Rockefellers. The architecture & murals are stunning in the rotunda. A tourist attraction in itself & you can buy lots of local things there like maple blueberry sausage from Ohio.
