Did the 'Afghan Express' day return from Port Augusta to Quorn. It was a great day for families, enthusiasts or just people who want to do the trip. Very well-organised and the steam engines were in superb condition. The volunteer staff were all really friendly,...More

Hi, We are glad that you enjoyed your trip on the Afghan Express and that the "car captain" was informative. One of our challenges is marketing the train service out of Port Augusta - we are away from the main road. Your comments on Trip...More

If you have a passion for steam trains and seeing more of SA, then this is for you. It's a slow ride for children and I noticed some of the young ones did get a bit fed up. The ride was lovely and informative and...More

Dear Esther. Thank you for your review. I am glad that you enjoyed it, I agree that the trip can be a bit slow at times, this is sometimes caused by things beyond our control and our limited ability to respond using an all volunteer...More
