- Becks151London, United Kingdom16 contributionsWonderful wine tourA wonderful morning tour of the vineyard including tasting the amazing wines. Lesley was a fabulous host and guide and we learned a lot about wine making and the history of the vineyard. The food in the cafe is really tasty - great lunch stop and we have bought home some of the wines to enjoy with friends and family. Will definitely be back and would recommend the wine tasting tour to everyone.Hi. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We're so glad to hear that you had a great time at our vineyard, and that you took some of our delicious wine home with you too. We look forward to seeing you again soon! - Amy E1 contributionFantastic time had by allHad an absolutely amazing time - the tour was very fun and also educational. You got to see the vineyard and winery, learning the cycle of how the grape are grown and how the wine is made, as well as a quick course in wine tasting. The wines were surprisingly reasonably priced (around £15-£20 a bottle) and all were delicious. Would highly recommend. And a special thanks to our tour guide Jamie for being so fantastic! He really went above and beyond to be welcoming and definitely made the tour for us. We will be back!Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're so glad to hear that you had such a great time at out vineyard and that you got to learn all about the grape to glass process and got to enjoy some of our great wine at the same time. We will pass your compliments onto Jamie. We look forward to seeing you again soon! The story of the wine production was accurate and interesting, and having a glass of wine amongst the vines was wonderful. The sunny weather on the day was a bonus too. Our tour guide was very positive and explained every aspect of wine production really well. A great visit experience.Delighted to see that you enjoyed your tour! - Freedom5402391 contributionWell worth a visit!I received the wine tasting and tour as a birthday gift. Despite the weather being rainy the tour was really good and interesting. Peter the tour guide was very knowledgeable. We ordered ploughman’s lunch afterwards and a glass of froze each. The food was tasty but average for the cost, the salad and roll was quite dry but I think this was due to it being plated earlier and the warm weather. We also had a couple of grapes which looked past their best. The cheese and sausage roll were delicious, as was the froze! Fun experience in a lovely setting. All the staff were friendly and helpful too. Thank you 😊Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, we're really pleased you had a fun time with us! What a hidden gem! We arrived for a quick visit as part of a walk but the staff were so welcoming and they had an event planned to start shortly so we stayed for the whole evening and tasted some scrumptious wines (the Sylvan Bacchus and Brut NV especially) and a brilliant barbecue pop-up. Made our weekend and we’re already planning to go back.

A great place to visit tucked away deep in beautiful Sussex countryside. The tour with wine tasting was really relaxed and really informative. Many thanks to Charlotte, our guide/host for her engaging, knowledgeable and witty tour. Oh and by the way, the wines were pretty good too.

When arriving at Kingscote Vineyard be prepared to get new tyres or take the land rover. I wouldn't recommend walking around the car park you might twist your ankle in one of the many pot holes. inside the shop is lovely contemplated asking about wedding bookings or if they would supply wine for our wedding. (had high hopes upon entering the property, despise pot holes) staff are friendly, our wine tasting tour started at 13:00 we was told to sit and wait, 13:05 comes around and we notice a few people heading outside so we assumed our tour has started, so we rushed out to catch up.
We all gathered around a muddy field with a view of the dormant grape vines and sheep to our left and straight ahead a 20 foot high pile of rubbish / dumping area which was thoughtfully covered over by a bright blue tarpaulin to hide it away. luckily the start of the tour your wine is pre poured in a glass (maybe the manager over sees the first pour) you get just under half a glass of wine in the first tasting. don't be alarmed the glass is so small resembles a cornish pixie size glass. We was stood around what felt like hours it was so cold. i definitely wouldn't recommend coming here in the winter, actually i wouldn't recommend coming here at all! do check out bluebell vineyard its lovely!
I left the car at home 'knowing' or should i say thinking... I wouldn't be able to drink and drive but ended up having samples of wine that added up to just one small glass...So i could of drove. having said that i would of have to have my tyres or suspension repaired because of the many potholes and uneven road surface resembling the giants causeway in northern Ireland.
6 bottles of wine shared between over 20 people gives a whopping 1 glass of wine each. after a walk around the muddy vineyard we had our 'cream tea' which is two scones, cheap jam and cream oh and one drink tea or coffee. lovely hot microwaved scones that couldn't be cut in half without them crumbling up into pieces with one having a shoulder length blonde hair attached. (DISGUSTING) took this to one of the staff and we was ready to leave in disgust only to be pressured into having a replacement scone... no thank you!!!! then we was told by peter we've already made you another one! more pressure into having it to which we replied no thank you, it has put me off. No apology for the hair in the scone... so peter asked do you want another tea or coffee? - no thanks we was ready to leave as we was traumatised. he said how about i get you a glass of wine, we felt so awkward so agreed. Peter asked which one we would like and out of the six sips of wines we tried the last one was the only palatable one. Peter walked over with a small glass of wine for the victim and not my daughter so we shared it in 1 sip each. (probably what was left from the tour) we was convinced he was keeping the remaining wine to take home. Never have i been on a wine tasting and receive less then 5ml of wine per tasting. Lots of people on the tour was throwing their dribble of wine on the ground because it was unbearable.
This vineyard is nothing like the bluebell vineyard up the road. The bluebell vineyard you get a big glass, not a cornish pixie glass you get it filled up more than once, you get to see all of the bottle used up and emptied ask for more and they open another bottle! fantastic place! Typically 2oz per person per tasting which as there were over 20 people in the group, made a whopping 1oz each tasting giving a tremendous 6oz of wine in all. WOW fabulous day out for 1 glass of wine...definitely will be a story to tell for a while, had so many laughs with our friends about the experience.

What a fabulous 2 hours spent at this venue with my dad. The tour lady was absolutely superb. She was so knowledgable & clearly knows & loves her job. It was great to taste 6 different wines/prosecco’s & to be within a small group of 6 was superb. We’ll definitely be back in the summer
