- Ray .DToronto, Canada13 contributionsTHRILLING DAY!!!The Family loved it. Some basic rides, to the most thrilling rides, like the Yukon Striker that has a 90-degree drop. I would highly recommend this place to families and kids that love roller coasters.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 8 October 2023
- Christopher T6 contributionsGreat experienceI have gone to this park 7 times SO FUN. Great people and service. Very fun and safe rides. My favorite park I've been to. The scariest are Levithan, Yukon Striker, and Behemoth. Very great park I love it so much and I am going tonight for the haunt. SOOO GOOD!Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 13 October 2023
- traveltheworld461Fort McMurray, Canada3,057 contributionsTons of funWe had a great day at Canada’s Wonderland. We prepaid for the basic meal plan but it wasn’t worth it. We only had lunch. If we had two meals here, then it would probably have been worth it. We went on the Yukon Striker twice, the Behemoth, Leviathan, Dragon Fyre, Thunder Run, and Vortex. The Yukon Striker was definitely our favourite. We had lunch at the Lazy Bear Lodge. We had the beef brisket with mac and cheese. The food was tasty but I wish the portions were a bit larger. Definitely recommend bringing a water bottle and filling it for free at the pop stations (there’s a water dispenser). A 591mL smart water at lunch was over $7. There were lots of wasps in the park and mostly bothered us when we were eating. There was no room inside to sit and eat. Lucas at the bar in Lazy Bear Lodge was so friendly and had great customer service. We had the Purple People Eater and Toxic Waste blood bag drinks. They were much stronger than I expected and sweet but tasty. Leaving the park at the end of the day was kind of a gong show. Be prepared for a long wait.Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 25 October 2023
- Tracie B7 contributionsUsed to be so fun but now it's just too busy and too priceyOver the years wonderland has gotten so busy and so expensive, it isn't as much fun to spend the day there anymore. My friends and i went on a Saturday in September (off season!!) and were hoping it would mean fewer people. It was also a rainy/overcast day but still very busy and crowded. We spent 45 minutes in line for the wilde beast ride (wooden coaster) and were turned away at the top due to bad weather coming in. When we went back, as ride was running again, one of the cars was stuck at the top of the first hill. We waited for about ten minutes and got on ok, but then, after moving on to the Bat and waiting in that line for forty minutes, it broke too! I understand that the weather is out of the park's control and mechanical issues are unavoidable, and I do applaud wonderland for fixing things pretty promptly, but it is frustrating when you're already spending $55 for entry and $22 for parking to get on fewer than 10 rides in one day due to long lines and delays. I used to love coming here as a kid but now that it's so popular, it's only fun if you go with a fast pass, which is very costly. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with wonderland and wouldn't rush back to waste a day standing in line.Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 29 October 2023
- Mom2Paco20 contributionsExpensive & OvercrowdedVery over priced!! For the family to go for the day it costs a fortune!! The food & drink prices are unreal! It’s a family place but many families can’t afford to go! The place is overcrowded & the lines for everything are insane!!Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 30 October 2023
- Nicole Z1 contributionGreat Experience!I love Canada's Wonderland SO MUCH! It has become busier and busier but it's still enjoyable! I had the basic meal plan and since I stayed a while, it was so worth it! If you go when it's cold, make sure to bring gloves! The reason is if you put your hands up on a big coaster/giga coaster your hands freeze off! I recommend and it's always a great experience! Also the Sledge Hammer workers are so fun! They sometimes sing this song and make the ride so much more FUN! ◉‿◉ A cheer to the Drop Tower workers! When I went, the person was like 10, 9, 8, 7... THEN DROPPED US! It was so fun and unexpected! Many people say that CW is overrated, but I love it!Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 22 November 2023
- ABBIEToronto, Canada13 contributionsAwesome place. Worth the price.I have so much to say about this place. Even though the rides are closed during winter fest, it is definitely worth it. I got some amazing gorgeous pictures with my family with the lights, as well as with magic mountain. There is one thing though, that I don’t like. The staff. They can be somewhat nice, but most of them are grumpy. But I do recommend a family to go there for the experience!! Btw, the hot chocolate was a bit expensive but was delicious!Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 January 2024
- Summer HEdmonton, Canada95 contributionsMore expensive than expected!Since my adult handicapped son and I were only in town for a short time the days we could go were limited due to our other plans. However we did go and it just happened to be so hot it was impossible to see everything. There were long lineups and food was overpriced. It's not near as memorable as I remember as a child. Because my son was in a wheelchair it was tricky getting him on some of the rides. So I tried some of the children's rides for him and was turned down on a few because they said he was too big. Yet, I saw 'parent's riding with their children. All in all a huge waste of money for the little we got to do. The best part was getting a free wheelchair rental, when my son began to tire. He has had two strokes which affect his mobility; and there was a lot of walking. I was disappointed some of the 'Meet & Greets' were only statues instead of characters in costume.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 March 2024
- Amandas876 Adventure ToursMontego Bay, Jamaica60 contributionsNeeds improvementToo many long lines & not enough signs to direct you between the roller coasters and the Waterpark also many of the water slides were non functional. Too little staff who needs training & to learn to avoid favouritism. If you get the skip the line pass just know there are 3 diff kind and be sure to get the highest one & alO know tht they don’t offer any for the water slide and the wait for the lazy river was waayyyy tooo long (it literally had the longest line ) but the roller coaster rides themselves are great especially if your an adrenaline junkie like myselfVisited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 July 2024
- JackOld Bethpage, New York3,377 contributionsAmazing amusement park!Canada’s Wonderland is the largest and overall best amusement park in Canada. I loved it! The three best rides are Leviathan, Behemoth, and Yukon Striker. There are many shops, restaurants, and activities here as well. The lines are not nearly as long as some of the huge theme parks in American which is why I love it! I couldn’t recommend this more!Visited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 14 July 2024

Each and every ride offers something new, and all of them make a great experience together. There are also restaurants, which makes it a complete family destination if anyone wants to visit it for one day. It is also affordable in comparison to other theme parks. There are also great shows that they present based on the seasonal special occasions. They also offer seasonal passes which makes it affordable if someone want to visit it more often.

Fastlane plus was worth it if you plan on riding the listed rides as much as possible and there for one day. I debated about purchasing but glad I did. We are a family of 5 and my 2 daughters aged 12 and 15 are into the thrill rides. They rode close to 30-35 rides all day and now have a memory that will last them a lifetime. My wife and I with our 5 year old son spent time at kidsville and could easily meet up with my daughters since they weren’t bogged down in lineups. Go to Wonderland for their great rides. We skipped the overpriced food and ate from our packed cooler just outside the entrance. Get there by 9:15-9:30 to get good parking so you can get your cooler easily. Only change I suggest is to upgrade the water fountains so people can fill up water bottles easily. Mouth water fountains are a thing of the past. So....spend the money if you are big time thrill ride riders.

We usually love going to this place almost every year since we were children. Now that the establishment has gone over and above the city imposed mask bylaws and are forcing ALL patrons to wear masks outdoors for the ENTIRE duration of the visit (even on the rides), we cannot support this business. We have a large group and many smaller children who especially cannot go around in a mask for 8-10 hours in the summer heat and humidity. This is ludicrous, dangerous and completely unnecessary at this point in time. We truly hope they reconsider this decision as we know many people who feel the same way and choosing to spend their money elsewhere this summer.

I visited Canada’s Wonderland with my husband and children ages 8 and 11 on a weekday in August. Living in the UK, I’m pretty used to being ripped off, but this was something else!
First, the drinks wristband costs $20 each which gets you a paper cup (no lid or straw), warm, flat and watered down drinks (no ice), and a 15 min wait during busy times to get a drink. However lots of people just skipped the queue and filled up, whether or not they had a drinks pass. Signs indicated you shouldn’t use your own bottle for hygiene purposes although many did. For those who obeyed, a number of paper cups were used throughout the day which isn’t the most environmentally friendly option.
Park entry was £65 each, with an option to buy a fast pass at $135 or $150. Thank God we didn’t bother with the fast passes - all rides were shut for 90 mins due to rain/lightening (30 mins ahead of the storm arrival) with no refunds or rain checks. My kids were bored of the park after around 7 hours and wanted to go home.
We booked the premium parking option for $10 extra (expecting a long walk to the entrance). There were available ‘regular' parking spots literally just outside the premium area, a mere 5 second walk away, even though we only arrived at 12pm. I wouldn’t book this option again.
Food staff were generally lacking energy and seemed unmotivated, openly volunteering what a rip off their prices were.
Ride staff had a bit more energy, but they weren’t most efficient when it came to getting people on the rides, often leaving seats unfilled.
Dedicated thrill seekers with a fast pass would probably love this place, but it just wasn’t for us (a mixture of thrill lovers and willing adventurers).
There are plenty of amusement parks which are better or at least much cheaper - Torontonians may also enjoy this one being the local option but I wouldn’t recommend it to tourists as somewhere you “need” to visit.

Honestly the worst experience ever. Got there at 9:30 which is 30 minutes before they open and there were hundreds of people waiting in line which I can deal with if there was a proper line up system. Literally watched countless teens just walk by the lines and sneak their way in and not to mention the families that did the same thing. Good thing your teaching your children to have manners and respect for rules !
Next, I thought we were in a pandemic ? There are no Covid protocols whatsoever being followed at wonderland. It’s a complete joke. It’s not like they don’t have enough money to employ a couple more teenagers at the lovely rate of $12 / hour when they’re charging $47 for a pizza or $25 for a small drink and small fry. Think about how much money wonderland makes and how big of a company it’s owned by and they aren’t one bit interested in doing anything to ensure people’s safety. Would love for them to be visited by enforcement officers.
I have a lot more negatives but I’ll end with this. Parents who train they’re kids to sneak through lines or bud in front of people should be ashamed of themselves. After what I saw today, I was disgusted. A 7 year old boy and his 5 year old sister walked through line up after line up saying they were going to meet their parents at the front. There were no parents and it was a complete scam to get to the front and not wait in the ridiculous lineups like everyone else has to. If I wasn’t with my son waiting in line I would have went to go find their parents who were probably enjoying themselves elsewhere doing the same thing. How does a 7 year old and a 5 year old have the brains to do this ? Because they were simply told to there’s not other l explanation.
Don’t go. And if you do go when the park opens and children are in school, go during the week, bring a lunch and be prepared to have your elbows out because the people I mentioned above will still be there.

I've been to Canada's Wonderland many times and enjoyed it thoroughly. I thought I'd give it a shot again with my young tweens now that it's open again in Summer 2021. What a mistake! We got there around 10:30 and had a roughly 15 minute lineup to get in. Then we went to our first family friendly coaster - the Wonder Mountain Guardian around 11. It took 2 hours to get onboard for less than 2 minutes and the laser guns you use on that ride were 50% broken (2 out of 4 didn't work at all). Then we stopped for lunch around 1:15 and waited for over an hour in line (in the sun, again) to get 4 terrible burger & dogs for $100. We decided to try to try the log flume, Timberwolf Falls, and after an hour in that lineup we were nearing the halfway point and gave up. We left the park at around 3:30 having done only one ride in 5 hours. I can think of better ways to spend nearly $400 for 2 minutes of fun!
What a disaster this "amusement" park is right now. The lineups are absolutely crazy and it doesn't appear they're limiting admittance at all as you can barely walk through the streets without bumping everyone, despite making you reserve to get in. They're limiting space on the rides for Covid reasons, but the lineups are jam packed both indoors and out. Do yourselves a favour and just avoid Canada's Wonderland for now. It was a very expensive and terrible way to spend a precious day off with family.
I've been to a lot of amusement parks, including Disney World a few years ago. They do everything right that Canada's Wonderland does wrong, from entertaining and cooling you during long lineups, to providing decent food and shady areas to rest and sit, to actually providing a decent balance between ride time and lines. Canada's Wonderland is an embarrassment for now that is best avoided. This place should be levelled to build side-of-highway condos. That's how bad it is.

Do not waste time and money with a Fast Pass, wait time 45+ mins for most of the rides for a FP holders. For most rides “ Regular lines” were actually shorter than fast pass lines.
When I asked for complete refund for FP, I was told that CW maintains NO REFUND policy.

We attended Halloween Haunt on Saturday, October 22nd and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had at this park. It was my first time attending so I wasn’t sure what to expect and it will surely be my last. After arriving around 6:40 outside the park grounds, it took a little over an hour to get in, get through the parking booths and grab a spot. Once we trekked through the entire parking lot to the entrance, we were met with the most gigantic crowd I’ve ever seen. We overheard the security guards telling people it may take up to 1-2 hours just to get through bag check and enter the park. We made it in after about 45 minutes (thankfully) but the crowds were monstrous inside too. We couldn’t get into any of the haunted attractions - the lineups were wrapping through the parks and would have definitely taken an hour at best to get in. Scare actors were also few and far between. The wait times for all the big coasters were 80 minutes at minimum. We were excited because Dragon Fyre was saying a 5 minute wait and we figured we’d do at least one thing before we left. No sooner did we get into the line and some middle aged men who were there with their wife and children decided to beat up on two 20-something kids on the platform. The ride was then shut down and we had to leave the queue. We all ended up leaving with only having eaten a funnel cake.
If you have a Season Pass and an unlimited parking pass (because parking is $25 per vehicle) like we do and want to subject yourself to long lines, rude staff and a mediocre night, have at it. If you’re buying a ticket for you and your family specifically for one night only, please do yourself a favour and save your money. You will be sorely disappointed that you paid however many hundreds of dollars to attended this horribly planned out event.
Canada’s Wonderland is so nostalgic for me but since Paramount sold to Cedar Fair, it’s been going downhill fast.

For a family this an expensive outting that we were not prepared for first of all $200 for two adults one 7 year old is supposed to be a deal bought online to save $50......We first get to the park not expecting to pay for parking of $25 which should be included in the price as you pay for so much on entry! It's not like they have repaved or updated the parking so it's ridiculous to charge this fee. It was so hot out we go to the splash pad area we are she'll shocked to find out for a single locker it was $35 to fit are stuff in that didn't actually fit all of our stuff in it is absurd thievery on behalf of Wonderland!! After the waterpark were all hungry we grab food at the chicken restaurant we decided to share to save some money. 3 chicken fingers a handful of fries, a wrap and some fries and one beaver tails was another $50 this is with no drink. Thankfully we brought our drinks in as they $6 for a single water it's like they want you to pass out of heat stroke. This park is so overpriced its simply not worth it I do not recommend unless you have money to blow!!!!

The Canada’s Wonderland is one of the biggest amusement parks in the North America.. This park has something for every one, ranging from child to old people. The park provides 70 rides for adventures tourist, including 17 roller coasters and recently they add a new coaster “Yukon Striker” in their park which is the World’s fastest, tallest and longest dive coaster.. In order to benefit their long time customers the park now provides different type of discount passes, which includes all seasons drink refill, 2020 multi-entry, all season dinning and parking.
The winter fest starts every year in the month of November. Winter fest is full of sites, sounds, foods and holidays experiences. The entire park offers festive fun and handy holiday attractions and the candy of special holiday plates and desserts fills the middle. The one thing that I like most in this park is their strategies. For example, whenever this parks comes under the decline stage (i.e. lose its attraction or Visitors prefer to go to new places where they did not go before) they add new rides to again put it into conception stage and then to maturity stage.
In my experience, Canada’s wonderland is really a great park to spent time with friends and family. All the area is pretty green. The field of splash is awesome! Winter fest is also good, but it is too expensive. We have to pay for every single activity. Also standing in the lines to purchase tickets, especially on summer weekends, is extremely tiring.

We are planning a trip to Toronto next spring and currently have a hotel booked near Canadas wonderland. Just wondering if we fly into Hamilton instead of Pearson is there a train or something we can take that will get us somewhat close to our hotel? We are thinking one day at Canadas wonderland , next morning CN tower then head to Niagra Falls ( again is there a train to there) just trying to avoid renting a car as it’s looking to be around $700 and also trying to avoid flying in and out of Pearson as I hear nothing but nightmares , here is what we are thinking itinerary wise: Sun June 2- fly into Hamilton arrive approx 1:00 pm. Get to hotel around 3 or 4 , hang out , dinner etc Monday June 3 - Canadas wonderland all day. Tuesday June 4- head to CN tower early ( 10am) spend an hour or two there there head to Niagara Falls, arrive by early evening check into hotel , wonder around etc. Wednesday June 5 - Niagara Falls. Thursday June 6 - take afternoon or evening flight home out of Hamilton. Just trying to figure out best transportation ideas

How do they give you your fast pass? Can my husband and I share a fast pass as long as we don't go on the rides at the same time? We have one child who likes rides and one not so much so we were going to switch out now and then.

Can you see the fireworks for Canada day from outside the park or do you need to be inside the park to really see them?
