The teens weren’t into it, but what do you expect in the age of video games and the endless pursuits on social media? This was a nice stop, on a day passing through Wilson, NC.

Vollis Simpson's lifetime of moving creations have been lovingly and painstakingly restored, and re-located to downtown Wilson, on the long-barren site of a tobacco warehouse that burned to the ground in the late 1980s. The Whirligigs are a riot of color, shapes and themes, and...More

Wow, what imagination. Can't ride any, but you can really enjoy watching them with a good breeze. It's a hidden gem.

We attended the Whirlygig Festival this weekend. It was fabulous! The park was the perfect setting for the festival. There’s green grass everywhere. My grandkids loves watching the whirlygigs spin.

Vast,Beautiful and intricate collection of whirligigs in one square in Wilson, NC. The art has to be one of the largest collections in the world and it doesn't disappoint. If the wind is blowing, the structures move and whirl. Definitely worth a visit. Get off...More

A must stop if you are in Wilson. Whimsical collection of art made from scrap metal. They have their Whirligig Festival in a few weeks. Don't miss it.
