The park is based on the work of a local guy who started his work making whirligigs as self entertainment and for the good of others. For some the word whirligig sounds like an item in the backyard that whirls or moves when there is...More

We attended the Whirlygig Festival this weekend. It was fabulous! The park was the perfect setting for the festival. There’s green grass everywhere. My grandkids loves watching the whirlygigs spin.

It is a great place just to walk and relax and enjoy the Whirligigs that Vollis Simpson created. You can walk your dog as there are baggies provided for your convenience.

A must stop if you are in Wilson. Whimsical collection of art made from scrap metal. They have their Whirligig Festival in a few weeks. Don't miss it.

This is a neat part to visit. They were setting up for a free movie night when we went. Loved looking at all of the different structures. The wind was blowing, so all of them were whirling around like crazy.
