We took a driver and did Segesta, Trapini and Rrice. The first two were great. Erica is a tourist trap. Lovely setting but dozens of schlock houses selling real junk. Worst of all: we stopped at the wooden booth at the entry to town that...More

What a great little medieval town perched high on a mountain. Amazing views. The day we were there the cloud formations were below us. Cobbled streets, plenty of bars, restaurants and of course the tacky tourist shops. Free entry but paid parking. Worth a visit

Loved this old city. I will go again, especially I will make it a point there is a car event, such as hill climb or static classic cars/bikes.

Plan on spending extra time to walk the grounds around the castle. The views are a photographers delight.

A must if you are somewhere near Trapani. We used the cable car for 9 € round trip per person. It's a 10 min ride and you arrive at Erice's city gate.

A trip to Erice is something not to be missed if you are staying in Trapani. It is very easy to reach by public transport. Be sure to pick a day when it is not too cloudy.

Perched on a rock overlooking the Med, this small ancient city has it all: location, history, food. Although certainly a tourist hotspot it remains charming and welcoming. Stroll down the old streets, visit the churches, try the eateries, visit the many shops. Worth a visit!

Erice is a nice little town on a mountain top, but so artificial... a tourist trap indeed. But , if you decide to visit it, you must experience the Funivia lift: the views you get from it are a reason on its own. If you...More

The place has its own spirit, like you are in some book with knights, may be in Game of thrones. It's an old fortress at the top of the mountain. I suppose in good weather conditions you can see Trapani and the sea, but when...More

Amazing drive up the mountain with winding little roads giving way to amazing views. You have to pay to park which is a pain but it is certainly worth it. Tiny little cobbled streets, great to get lost in. A few restaurants and little shops...More

Yes, you take the cable car from Trapani. So you have to drive there and park the car at the Cable car station car park. You could also drive the winding steep road all the way to Erice, but then you will miss the fun of the... More
