This is a gorgeous place even more enhanced by the frozen spray around the falls. In the winter time watch for black ice behind and near the falls!

Dry falls is in a beautiful area of North Carolina. It is a gorgeous waterfall that doesn't require hiking. There are steps leading down to a close up view and path to walk behind the waterfall. However, if there is someone in your party that...More

Lots of stairs, but well worth it. You can walk behind these gorgeous falls and around to the other side. Decent parking with restrooms available (albeit very stinky, non-flushing style). I would definitely return.

Incredible waterfall .. so powerful and neat to get to walk behind it. A must see !! Go early or later in afternoon to avoid crowds and be able to find parking in the lot provided.

This waterfall is so beautiful! Being able to walk behind the falls is a unique experience and the trail down is fairly easy. It can get crowded here so I'd advise going on a weekday.

Easily excessable and wonderful to see. You can walk under the waterfall safely. We brought out kids there last year and they loved it. Just as fun the second time

We wandered the Highlands in wonderment and hiked to see several of the gorgeous falls in the area. We enjoyed Dry Falls-easy access, paved trail, super cool to walk under the falls. Definitely recommend making the time to visit if you are in the area

I don't see why you couldn't. I would not recommend a windy day, you'll get wet! :)

Yes correct there is an area at the top that is accessible, but the path down in places steep and wet, and has several sections of stairs.
