What. A. Blast. The staff were very fun, friendly, and accommodating. Definitely worth the money. We can't wait to go back in the summer and take the 4 hour excursion in the daylight.

Booked a mid-October trip to see the fall foliage in the Smokey Mountains. The ride was enjoyable and provided some great views from the open-air car. We also did the zipline tour in combination which made it a great day.

We took our parents on a trip for their 60th wedding anniversary and this was one of the "touristy" things we did. They loved it and the staff was so wonderful to them. Just wish the visit in Dillsboro was longer.

We just got back yesterday from the Polar Express. We were so excited. We bought first class, Cherokee car. 1) use the restroom before boarding, they perform onboard the train and trips to the restroom really interrupt the experience. 2) the staff were great and...More

I love riding trains and this Steam engine one was excellent. Being in October, I opted not to ride in the open Gondola car but instead chose the First Class Car. Great choice as it was in the 40's and drizzling. Warm and comfortable ride...More

Expensive train ride from Bryson City, to Dillsboro, with only enough time to get off the train, find a restaurant for lunch, and get back on the train for the ride back to Bryson City. The fare included a free travel mug which they would...More

I think the left side of the train. We were in the first class shine and dine. If you are not into that i would definitely choose the regular first class car.

We were in the caboose and there is a little step-stool they put on the ground at the bottom step. I've had a knee replacement and it was a little difficult, but not that bad.
