My husband and I are both history buffs and thoroughly enjoyed this outdoor drama. The actors did a great job portraying what life was like during the 1780’s when we were fighting for our freedom. I highly recommend spending the extra on tickets for the...More

While visiting the High County of North Carolina, my wife and I saw a brochure on the outdoor drama "Horn in the West" in Boone, NC. As we love outdoor drams/plays we stopped by the ticket office to secure tickets for the evening performance. We...More

This is a play with Daniel Boone and other settlers of the period. Many very talented people involved both on and off stage. The support staff are extremely helpful and everyone was very pleasant. A word of caution..they do shoot muskets which are very loud...More

It's a summer time evening of action at Horn in the West. We thoroughly enjoyed getting a glimpse of historical fiction from the performance. The play informed and entertained us and made us proud of our North Carolina and American heritage. The play offered family...More

Was disappointed that the play did not really elaborate on more specifics of the Revolutionary War. The acoustics were not very good. Even though it is comendible that many people gave of their time and effort, was overall disappointed.

We were visiting the adjacent Farmers' Market and noticed the authentic log cabins so we walked to the entrance. We started chatting with the attendants wearing period dress and became interested in the stories of the pioneers who built the cabins (relocated to this spot)....More

The show is comprised of an average staff. They are good, but not amazing. I thought the story needed work also. Not completely true to life, very close though. The stage was mediocre on some topics, nice on others. The dinner was ok, I would...More

Dear Rob, Thank you for the review. If you got in for $15 you got a deal as regular prices start at $24. Horn is a classic example of doing a lot with less. The production does not receive Fed. or State monies and depends...More

We came here in a large group. The costumed interpreters did an excellent job of explaining the history of the area before we ate our meal. The play was very enjoyable with talented actors. I would return to see it again.

Not really sure. They do have bandicapped parking. The path to the ampitheater is wide and paved, But there are steps to the seating area. You might want to contact them with your question. They're very nice and helpful

Once you are inside there is a snack shack. But you can also purchase a meal with your tickets. The meal that we had was catered by the Dan'l Boone restaurant.
