I did not find the villa itself very interesting. Gardens are nice. Best thing for me was the villa's Cafe. That was one of the best moment of the day - sitting down with a good coffee and soak in these beautifull sights. Shame you...More
Definitely worth a visit whilst on Capri.
The gardens in particular are beautiful and the views from the terraces of Vila San Michele are breathtaking.
Worth going earlier as we had almost the entire place to ourselves which really adds to the beauty and tranquility.
Third time in Capri and also at Villa San Michele. This is, because of the beautiful gardens and not to mention the views. Important thing is, to touch the back of the sphinx to make sure you will come back to Capri, but if you...More

Beautiful villa with very interesting history. It is a short walk from the bus stop at Anacapri.. The villa is very well maintained with interesting displays. The view of the Gardens and Marina from the top is breathtaking.

There is a restaurant on the grounds of the home that is excellent, service is good, prices are good and the views are magnificent.my favorite place to have dined while in Italy. So peaceful and tranquil.
We stayed at a B& B called Casa Raiola.. 4 flight of stairs, no elevator, but so worth it.
This property is not a rental property! It is a museum and former home of Dr Munthe. Beautiful gardens, antiques, and views. There is an very nice cafe and toilet facilities.. but the answer to this question is NO!
