This food market is very cool ! All the different smells, the differents type of food you can try is amazing. My favorite is their pizza that they cook so differently from europe. Delicious. You must try !!

If you are in Stone town then this should be the place to come for evening walk and sun set. Plenty of street food stalls and hawkers selling souvenirs. One thing you would enjoy are the kids that jump into the water.

Visitied this place on my first trip to Zanzibar. I was amazed with this place, it offers varieties of food from different vendors!! The prices are fairly low and it starts to get busy from around 7 pm onwards

Spending the late afternoon and evening is a must do. Food is fresh, plenty and amazingly good. But also just sitting close to the sea, watching the life happening and getting the vibe is awesome.

This was a good food market experience. We got to sample so many different kinds of Swahili dishes. There were also many vendors so there was never a queue at any stand. Overall good experience and highly recommended. Travelled as a couple July 2016

If you want to taste some local made dishes, just go there, but careful as sometimes they quote higher prices than what it would actually cost. Also not sure about the hygiene, but I took the risk.

So Forodhani Park is a great place to just sit and enjoy old architecture around and the sea during the daytime when it’s empty. In the evening it transforms into a busy night food market. Food stalls and people everywhere. This is the place to...More
