Delicious sharwarma. Recommend to all. And the people so friendly. You can order and eat it there. Or do take away. We even ate seafood but i enjoyed mostly the shawarma

Interesting night market. Try and use local currency as much as possible and compare prices before purchasing anything. Got a few things cheaper later in the night than earlier in the day

Not really crazy about their grilled food, seafood not the freshest. But it is a must try if you are in Stone Town. I particularly liked fresh coconut juice. They scrape the coconut meat for you after you drank all the juice.

Forodhani Park is right on the Indian Ocean and features delicious street foods. Try the grilled meats, seafood, and sugar cane sweetened ginger, limeade. You won't be disappointed.

Visited with my wife and 2 teenage children. I did not appreciate every store owner and their helpers trying to bully us into buying their food. They would literally block your way while you're walking while another one would be chatting to your kids, convincing...More
