This place has grat history but now it is sad shade. It is not well maintained and not authenticaly presented. But still this is the better from El Quseir which is one big waste dump. Very sad for place from where civilisation came.

Accompanied by a Zidane tour guide. With private driver. We saw the port El Quseir also has a 16th century Ottoman fortress during the reign of Sultan Selim. Worth seeing is the Basilica of Santa Maria and Santa Barbara built by the Italians on site for mining in the early 1900s.

Neat old fort with a lot of history, but very little support in the way of exhibits, information, or even cleaning the place up. Fine to visit if you have nothing to do, but I wouldn't budget valuable vacation time in hopes of a cool fort experience

there is nothing of interest here buildings wise and as most towns in Egypt look like unfinished dustbowls. Not worth paying for a trip, Best thing to do is either walk or get a taxi here from your hotel check out all the shops, eating places(good fish restaurant on beach) and cafes on your own that way the town get your money instead of trip organisers.

Small fort with a train and tracks to show how phosphate was mined. Interesting stone map, and you can go up in the tower and look over the area.

We were taken as a group to visit the fort in centre of El Quesir. It has some interesting features but not somewhere I would go out of my way to visit.

Interesting old fortress with nice exhibition of old photos inside. The view from the tower is worth the climb

The fort is the only historical building in the city ...and the only place quite well preserved and clean. It's very simple, four walls, one tower, few rooms but it deserves a visit that requires no more than half an hour.
To be mentioned, a coach still in good conditions (I spent half the time around it) and four guns some hundred years old.
I suggest to leave a little tip to the watchman.....he doesn,t see a lot of visitors !

old city , just walk around and you feel how special it is. In the Fort you feel the history about this place, Hatschepsut, Napoleon and so on
