Let me start by saying that I love animals. I also happen to be a conscious meat eater. I did not realize that this was very much a vegan propaganda machine when I decided to go with my husband, toddler, and another family we are...More

Catskill Animal Sanctuary is a rescue farm for domestic animals. There are guided tours which give visitors the story of the animals and how they arrived at the farm. All employees and volunteers are vegetarians which says a lot about their attitude towards animals. Our...More

Arrived here on Sunday for the 11 am tour. Everyone is very friendly. Loved seeing the animals and hearing their stories. We got to pet a few that were roaming around. Goats, cats, chickens, pot belly pigs, horses and a turkey. Veganism is mentioned but...More

Hi Natalie, we are sorry to hear that your experience was not what you had expected. As residents of a Sanctuary, the animals who live here have room to roam and come and go on their own schedules— and sometimes they are shy. We welcome...More

My fiancé came here because we were staying in the area plus we just love animals. I read previous reviews where people said that they “preach a vegan lifestyle”. I do not agree. Quite frankly, I think these people were just turned off and didn’t...More

Let me first say this - the property is impeccably clean. These animals are loved and cared for - there is zero doubt. That said, unless you want to learn of all the evils of eating meat - save your money. We went with FULL...More

They walk you around and show you delicious farm animals like bacon, beef, chicken and try to guilt trip you the whole time that they are vegans and you are horrible people because you eat the meat of weaker animals like god intended.
