My husband went to the original Woodstock, so he was able to add an even more personal perspective to our visit. There were lots of young people there who were super interested to know what "it was really like." My husband was happy to share....More

If you are from this era (60's) this was very enjoyable and done very well. Just be careful when you look it up on the website some guy in Saugerties NY is advertising a Woodstock Museum and you have to make an appointment. The real...More

This is not the beautiful museum that is on the site of the actual Woodstock Music Fest. This is an old art studio that a hippie named Nathan talks about Woodstock Fest and politics. It was a tiny room with some photos and posters on...More

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Woodstock Museum is a small museum a few minutes from the town of Woodstock. I've noticed that some of the reviews and photos here are actually for the museum located at the site of the Woodstock concert, not this museum. That museum...More

Nathan, the Museum founder and curator, is right out of the 60's! Knowledgeable, charming, engaging host, generous with his time and insights. Our group of four received a private tour of the museum located a short 15-minute drive from downtown Woodstock. Though somewhat hard to...More

My wife, father in law and brother in law just visited and were surprised. It was moving and being on the field and standing in the place where the stage was felt eerie and wonderful. Highly recommended stop for people of the sixties and seventies.

Wouldn't even let us in! Drove specifically to see it. No hours are posted anywhere. What a disappointment! Guess we weren't stoned enough for the toasted guy on the road that was blocking the roadway in. Some way to treat people!More

Our hours are clearly posted on our website and our phone line: WoodstockMuseum.org and 845 246-0600. If there was a man on the road, he was there to welcome you with info. Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you at least enjoyed the very famous...More

It is by donation. He asked for a $10 donation. It wasn't worth $10 in my opinion. Go see the Museum at Bethel Woods for an excellent museum on Woodstock Music Festival.

I am not able to answer you. I think the couple who own and run the museum travel away during the winter but I am not sure when they leave. You can call as he is very good at returning calls. Good luck.
