We did the Sunset-Moon rise boat ride in the dhow, with my entire family of almost 20 people and it was the most memorable boat ride ever, more so because, it was really amazingly beautiful to see the sun set in the west and the moon rise from the east, simultaneously. A sight we have never ever seen before. The ambiance in the dhow was also very rustic, but equally peaceful and serene, with the local musicians serenading us. I have been for many boat rides , but really nothing like this. Most of all we thoroughly enjoyed having you also with us.

I met Salma while I was visiting Zanzibar on a solo holiday. As soon as I met her and found out she had her own tour company, I immediately cancelled the other tour I had booked previously. Salma was so kind and informative on Zanzibar that I knew I wanted to take my tours with her. It was the best decision I made while in Zanzibar!
She is so easy to work with, her rates are reasonable and her tour guides were some of the kindest people in Zanzibar. Being female and traveling alone, you want to make sure you are comfortable with your tour guides. Ali took me on a tour to Prison Island as well the Spice Tour and he could not have been any more respectful and fun. I had the most wonderful day with him, all planned by Salma. Even the boat captain and driver to the Spice tour were unbelievably kind and polite.
Booking with Salma is a must if you are visiting Zanzibar. She loves her city, her tour are incredibly organized and she works with the best people. She truly made Zanzibar an extra memorable trip for me.

Thank you for you nice and friendly review, much appreciated. We are very happy you had a great time at Zanzibar and it was so nice to have you around. We always take care of our clients but especially when women travel alone. But luckily Stone Town is very safe to travel to.

Booked various Tours with Busara, all very well organized! The excursions in Stone Town were such a worthwhile contribution to our visit to this authentic city center. The Tour on the life of women in stone town gave us not only nice to know details on family life, But also lots of Insight in local food, art, culture and habits. And great that Busara Tours also trains local women as Tour guides (Fatima was excellent), so that they are financially independent in taking care of their family. We also enjoyed the Spice Tour, no tourist trap, but a real garden/forest with spices and herbs. And we had a TOP day with Safari Blue (sailing boat, snorkeling, Bbq, dolphin spotting), the team makes you feel very welcome. We have our wish list for next year ready Busara Tours! The architecture tours and the cooking Tour please! We will definately Book with you again!

Busara Tours were amazing! 8 of us (5 adults, 3 children) took the Stone Town to Prison Island Tour plus Snorkelling at Bawe Island Tour. Best Zanzibar half-day tour ever! Really great! The children especially loved it. Planning was smooth. We were met by the tour coordinator in Stone Town, introduced to our Tour Guide for the day, who spoke perfect English and was really fun & knowledgeable, then we met the captain of the boat (which was called Mr Bean! Brilliant!!). We chose our snorkelling equipment. Off to Bawe Island - the coral and the fish were amazing. Snacks & drinks were all included. Prison Island was unbelievable with the 300 giant tortoises. The kids were spell bound and loved feeding them. We arrived back just after lunch. Thank you Busara Tours, you are all so friendly, efficient and you all ROCK!

Thank you Busara Team for an unforgettable and educational experience with your knowledgeable and hospitable team. Our safari in Kenya and Tanzania was extremely well organised and there was absolutely nothing we could improve.
A big hat off for the owners of the tour company and their valued knowledge and experience. All was immaculate and thought through.
We can highly recommend this "wise "( busara means wisdom we were told) tour company and we would definitely come back!

Busara tours offers really special walking tours through Stone Town that you don't find at any other company. I booked the tour about the daily live of local women. I learned a lot and it was super interesting; it's like you get a very special view behind the curtain! And you get an impression about the living in this wonderful old town - about traditions and modern living. Salma is a great guide and you feel like a friend, not like a tourist. I highly recommend Busara Tours.

Salma and her team at Busara Tours were terrific while we stayed in Zanzibar. They met us as we left the airport and whisked us to our walking tour of Stone Town. Ali was a great guide and gave us a good overview of this colonial town.
Our driver confidently made his way to the hotel and all extra arrangements were easy due to Salma.
Salma was attentive and communicated well to all of us as we had many moving parts. I was confident that she would get the job done and I would use Busara Tours again!
