This waterfall really does live up to the hype. One tip, though. It seems like the upper Laurel House Road trail is really being pushed by the powers that be, but hiking from the bottom from the original trailhead on 23A really is the best...More

There is a reason this is such a heavily trafficked site. the hike is short and easy. There are stairs that are pretty steep, but there is a rail and you can take your time. You would really be selling yourself short to pass by...More

Loved going here as a kid and navigating the death defying cliffs to get to the pool (to swim!) at the bottom of the Top falls! Brought my kids about 10 years ago and found it still crazy dangerous, but awesome all the same. They...More

Great short hike to a beautiful waterfall! We really enjoyed the trail that led to that great view! It was very busy when we got there and the parking lot is not very big. Not big enough for the amount of people that were there...More

Challenging hiking spot but so worth it. Brought a 12, 11 and 9 year old. They loved it! Exhausting going back up, so many stairs. Bring water and wear proper shoes and a bathing suit and towel if you enjoy the chilly mountain water.

A very tall, very thin falls. Beautiful, peaceful hiking despite the crowds on Labor Day weekend. Will return. We parked at the new lot. Very easy hike (3 blocks) to the viewing platform.

I see no reason why you can not bring your kids along. Just remember to keep an eye on them and within easy reach. They should not go off wondering around by themselves.
