Parked at the top of the falls and made it to middle falls. I'm 63, not in good shape, relied heavily on a walking stick and it was daytime almost 90 degrees! With that said....I'm very proud I made it that far. I had no...More

Definitely worth hike down! it was so pretty and a pretty easy hike, some parts were a little challenging (due to the mud, they had just gotten a bit of rain.) It looked like they had many other hikes through the park. We brought lunch...More

We parked at trailhead parking at the bottom of falls you need to walk a 1/4 mile to falls. the fall walk itself is 1.5 mils to the top. There had been lots of rain so the falls was large. A local fireman told us...More

We hiked the trail to Kaaterskill Falls. It's amazing!! We went there early because the parking lot is limited. There were other hikers who were swimming in the natural pool. Just be careful when hiking, stay on the trail.

This wasn’t easy to find. The ice cream stand lady was super helpful helping us with the last ~4 miles finding the place. Absolutely beautiful spot. Clean. Cared for and a respectful bunch of hikers. Thank you for being there

This place is amazing. So hard to believe this is in New York. Although the falls were a bit of a hike it was totally worth it. Will go back again very soon

The hike to get to the falls is about half hour and steep. I recommend using good shoes with good grip as there are uneven areas with rocks. The view from down the stone stairs is amazing and Offered a couple fall view. When going...More

Parking can be tight but if you’re lucky enough to get a spot it’s an easy walk of well under a mile along a well maintained trail to a viewing platform over the Falls. Lovely wildflowers along the way. There’s a steep trail to the...More

I see no reason why you can not bring your kids along. Just remember to keep an eye on them and within easy reach. They should not go off wondering around by themselves.
