Visited the ghost town. We had a blast. If you have MT plates it’s free. Our local hosts suggested this little side adventure and it was perfect for a sunny afternoon. And the surrounding park is gorgeous.

We've visited a couple of western ghost towns now and this was the most complete. The booklet helped a lot, giving just the right amount of information about this place. We enjoyed the boardwalk up and down and being able to go into the houses....More

This park is great for learning a little history and enjoying the outdoors. There are places to picnic and during the summer months they even have events going on.

Was great to see where my ancestors were and hang out in the rain the thunder was amazing too the scenery is beautiful and the smell of the trees and sage is so fragrant

Since retiring and traveling all over the Western US, Dillon and nearby sites are definitely a don’t miss item - classic “old West”.

Visited Bannack with a group of photographers. There are dozens of buildings, some open to enter and some aren't, but the park is set up as the territorial town once was. There is a ranger/interpretive center on site. The rangers are more than willing to...More

We had a very good time with o u r self guided book tour. Fun ghost town from old west gold mine town. The grandbabies enjoyed the old school house.

We never get tired of visiting Bannack State Park- we enjoy special ranger led activities such as star gozing, and musical events held there in season.

If you really love the history of the area and want to take the time to visit everything, including hiking up to the cemetery and seeing the area where they hanged the criminals, and read all the information, it would take... More
