Once you get pass the extremely hot walk and get to the tour and island you are in heaven. Don't forget your hat, sunglasses and lotion. You can bring your own goodies, but there is also treats for sale. You can also rent an umbrella...More

Enjoyed the Fort tour and the information we received there. The beach was wonderful and felt safe with alot of families there. The facilities were clean and the people there were very friendly.

Part of the National Seashore, it is accessable by private boat or tour boat. Right off the pier is the fort, which is well worth a quick look. Most people head across the boardwalk (@ 1/2 mile long) over to the beach. Umbrellas and chairs...More

Pack your stuff for the beach, and a tour of the historic fort ruins. Nice boat ride. Good snack bar with friendly staff and reasonable prices. (minimal menu selection)

Relaxing ride to island and nice clean beautiful beach. There was umbrellas and chairs for rent. Clean rest rooms and refreshments for sale.

I don't think it would be a good or worthwhile trip for her. Even if they allowed her to stay on the ferry while others got off,it might be a boring time to just sit and wait for the return trip. Advice from other travelers... More

Yes, there is a senior rate. Regular adult fare is 30, senior fare 28 and children are 20. Those are ferry boat fares to get you there. Chairs with umbrellas are extra and you can pay for those after you arrive as a person... More
