I have seen several exhibits at the TMORA and always enjoy it. The renovation of the building is an excellent compliment to whatever is on display and enhances the experience. Reasonable price to get in; not huge; great place to bring guests ... lots of...More

We expected to see some of the "masterpieces" of Russian art. Instead we saw "Inside the Beehive" which could have had the same impact if only three items had been on display. The building is gorgeous, but the exhibits were blah. Perhaps we visited at...More

We only spent an hour at this museum on our way to a play. We will return and spend more time. It was extremely well done and certainly worth more than an hours visit.

I had high expectations for my first visit to this museum, based on rave reviews from family members who had seen recent faberge and historical icons exhibits here. I was very disappointed with the two main exhibits during my late December visit. Artistic beauty and...More

This is a pleasant little museum in a very nice (former church) building. They have a nice collection, though limited display space (since it's a small museum). They often have great shows displaying the work of fantastic Russian artists like Fechin. The museum shop is...More

Contemporary art is “hit or miss” for me because some of what people call “art” doesn’t move me, or is downright weird. Just my opinion. I decided to check out this museum and take advantage of my NARM membership (no admission fee) and see what...More

Have been meaning to visit here for years, when we come from out of town occasionally. It’s a first class place with wonderful art. We particularly enjoyed the lovely porcelain pieces, that became pure propaganda after 1917. Gift shop is huge and also full of...More

Small guided tour/lecture was short and informative. In an old church with easy access off 35W. HUGE collection of Matryoshka dolls (nesting dolls) is worth the visit alone!

My interest in Russian art doesn’t run very deep or wide, but the porcelains we saw in the Russian Art Museum in Minneapolis greatly expanded my appreciation for Russian arts and crafts. Seeing those porcelains made the investment of time and money ($8 for seniors)...More

Sorry, no restaurant in the museum. But there are various kinds of eating places fairly close. I'd recommend calling the museum and asking for a recommendation.

There wasn't in the museum and it's literally next to the highway. The other streets around it were residential. But, I'm sure you could find a few places to eat within a mile or two. Lots of little neighborhood places. Hope... More
