As the title says, the food is of a higher standard than pretty much anywhere else within Montecatini. Best to book ahead during peak season. We had to wait 30 minutes for table but it can also just be your luck when you show up. Our servers were very friendly and helpful in recommending accompanying wine with our meal. Given the location, it's really a must-do kinda thing on your holiday. Get some amazing snaps from the view next to the church, eat some great food, drink wine and then enjoy the funicolare on the way back down.

We didn’t really like the atmosphere here, too many tourists and the café /restaurant staff didn’t seem very happy to see us!

If you visit Alto then to be honest you can't really miss it - it's a lovely Piazza sorrounded as you'd expect in a tourist hot spot by restaurants and bars.

It's a great place to sit and chill with an Alpero Spritz or a beer, or a meal and watch the world go by.

There are a couple of tourist gifty shops at the top end - but that's it really - a lovely place to visit.

Would I go back - Oh yes

Just a perfect place for a stroll with your loved one, so cute and quaint
It requires some walking to get there, but it’s worth the effort

Nice piazza in old village of Montecatini Alto with shops, cafes and restaurants. Good to rest there after looking around the village.
