Canal Park is an ideal family destination, combining the shore of Lake Superior, with its rock-filled beaches, and easily walkable streets filled with shops and restaurants, it's a great place to visit or stay.

This is a park on the shore of Lake Superior. It is free to visit but parking is not free. It is reasonable as we only paid $3 for up to four hours. There is a lighthouse at the end of the pier and a...More

This area is in the heart of the waterfront and much of the tourist attractions. The biggest attractions are the Lighthouses at the ends of the Breakwaters, the Aerial Lift Bridge, and the Maritime Visitor Center. We checked harborlookout.com and planned our visit to coincide...More

Canal park is the hallmark of Duluth. You can’t visit and NOT go to canal park. Beautiful views of Lake Superior, watch ships come into the harbor, check out some shops and grab some food. Get some coffee at Amazing Grace and walk the boardwalk....More

Well layed out lakeside trail and park. Adequate parking, lots of variety of shops and restaurants, bars. Pretty clean area, good free exhibits and easy access to ice cream.

We made a return visit recently, and, while the natural beauty remains, the experience was marred by long lines of stopped cars, insufficient parking and inconsiderate pedestrians blocking traffic. Someone needs to figure this out.

I don't believe that Tall Ships Duluth is an event held every year, it seems that it is every 2-3 years on the Great Lakes. Duluth was 2013, and 2016.
