It took us 20 minutes walking through a gravel path with no shade from Milna bay. Upon reaching the beach we noticed it's fairly small with few spots to leave our things. To top it off there's a lot of waste that gets beached there like plastic bags and domestic waste which doesn't look or smell nice. There is little to no shade.
The sand is nice, as well as the fact that it's not too deep so we could play around with a beach ball.
Overall would not go there again.

Great sand beach near Milna bay! Clear sea, you can benefit if you bring the diving mask or any other equipment!
There is a bar that serves food and drinks, we did not eat there.
We came in on SUP(stand up paddle board) that we rented on Milna beach, it’s a 15-20min SUP drive. You can come by walking next to the sea - sneackers recommended!

I was a bit apprehensive to come to this beach because of the reviews about cleanliness and lack of shade, but the only waste we saw was at the very back of the beach - you seriously have to almost go looking for it! There were a few trees for shade too. The sand and sea are lovely and we had a very nice, inexpensive, lunch at the beach bar/cafe. It's an easy 15 min walk from Milna. I am so glad I ignored the less-complimentary reviews, it was a lovely day.

This was the worst beach we've visited during our summer holiday on Vis. Access is 20 minutes walking (hot sun), no road, there's no infrastructure, no shade on beach and garbage everywhere.

Very nice swimming in large area, good for families, beach bar and restaurant which is pretty good..

Horrible. Was full of garbage. Went for a quick dive, underwater is full of plastic bags, aluminum cans. Do not go there.

This beach was a nice hike from the road, so you can imagine our surprise when we found it littered with garbage, some clearly having washed up in a recent storm. If you go, take ten pieces of rubbish with you to help et the place back to what I imagine was once beautiful and pristine. So unfortunate.

I see that a lot of people are talking how Milna is as beautiful as Zaglav and that it's not worth of it to walk 15 min to get there. What is more beautiful is question of taste, but Zaglav is way bigger and cleaner beach and has better view. It is like a beautiful sand pool.
I'm sorry, but you can't put walking in the sun as a bad thing, that is how it is in sunny Dalmatia. In my opinion, the fact that Zaglav is so hidden that is only reachable on foot is only an adventage.

This beach was a MAJOR disappointment! The water may be clear, however most of the beach is covered with pebbles, only small part of it is sandy. The biggest problem is that the beach is FILTHY! After walking 20 minutes from Milna, I thought I was gonna burst into tears when I arrived to Zaglav! The beach is full of garbage, it's really disgusting, I wouldn't put my towel on the ground, let alone allow my kids to play there. After seeing this, I went to the rocks at the far end of the beach, only to discover some more trash between those rocks.
After this, I picked up my stuff and returned into the direction of Milna, I found a great spot on the rocks between Zaglav and Milna where I spent a few hours, also the sea was cool and clear.
With so many beautiful coves on the island Vis, don't waste your time coming here. Rent a taxi boat and go somewhere nice. If you don't feel like it, and have small children, visit the Kamenice beach, it is a pebble beach, but much cleaner, water is clear, there's a great bar where you can also eat, and also use the toilets.

The walk here is half the fun! One of the few Sandy beaches on the island, and what a nice one at that. Not much shade. There is a beach bar come restaurant. We thought it was a lovely place
